Twilight Wedding Necklace by popnicute Twilight Wedding Necklace by popnicute
La Lune is the moon in French. This necklace is taking shape of a new moon with a little heart in the middle of it.

Stones are Garnet and Rock Crystal . I think this necklace has a very romantic vibe to it that it's perfect as a wedding jewelry. And because it's not over the top, it can be still used after the wedding. Makes a wonderful and useful keepsakes, imo :D Everything was handmade by me but the chain. Argentium and Sterling silver plus a little bit of copper squiggles.

Maybe Bella would wear it on her wedding day with Edward ;)

Very nice work. I especially like the combination of the silver and copper, as they compliment the colors of the stones well.

I'm not much of a romantic but it's beautifully made. Do you find sterling and argentium behave okay together?

thank you! i don't see any problems so far. i'd use argentium chain but the options are limited and i'd have to import it. can't afford the import duty. i learned my lessons importing the wire then. :shakefist:

Ick. I've not dealt with import duties yet. I think I'll avoid that. Sending things out is a pain enough!

I was debating slowly transitioning into argentium by just buying that wire as I need to replace sterling I've run out of. Do you think the colors match enough for that?

i don't see anything drastic. the color is similar :)

Cool. Thanks. For some reasons the chainmaille rings I'd ordered didn't match so I've been iffy every since.

hmm.. that's weird.. maybe your sterling just need some polish.

I'm wondering if they had a better tumbler or something.

:iconpopnicute:

i don't use a tumbler. i notice that my sterling wire looks very dull compare to argentium on spool. but after oxidation and polish no one will ever be able to tell the difference.
