It was a long time of doing nothing. Several months, in fact. Productivity was sparse and in small bursts, team morale at an all-time low, and I didn't exactly help at raising it. The lack of productivity was infuriating, I let out my frustration on the others, particularly :iconfullhitpoints:, which made them want to work on the game even less, making me more frustrated. I considered Endless Blue to be officially in development hell for an indefinite amount of time. Hell, I even left the team for all of one day...

And then :iconspaztique: saved us all. If there's something this guy is great at, it's motivating people. And what better way to motivate than with another stream of "Team Gaijin Alex Works On Endless Blue Live!"?

Yep. We had a streamed dev session yesterday at 3pm central. It wasn't attended by many, but I guess you could say we were mostly doing this for ourselves, anyway. Bummer that :iconscarletimpulse: had family matters to attend, meaning he wasn't able to make it. Also a bummer that it was at 10pm for me and I had classes early the next morning, so I had to excuse myself only one-and-a-half hour in.

But on the bright side, we got stuff DONE that day! The Stage 3 theme is halfway to completion and another spellcard for Gale is in progress (design courtesy of TraditionalYoungMan). I don't know about the others, but I haven't been this motivated since the first months of TGA's existence, and I'm definitely looking forward to picking up the daily dev sessions with FullHP in the future. I'm also hoping we can make TGAWOEBL a bi-weekly thing. If everything works out, the next session might be on December 28 at 3pm central time, give or take.

We're back in business, and I fully intend to ride that wave of motivation.
