Our journey continued
Deep into the night
We collected our gear
We were ready to fight
I held in my breath
And opened the door
Then was shocked and appalled
By a gash in the floor
Fires were swelling,
The unknown was reaching
A Boomer was groaning
And Hunters were screeching
We hit the ground running
But the hoard came too fast
The ammo and health packs
They just couldn’t last
The pain and the anguish
We couldn’t foresee

Slashing and shooting

We had to move on
