It's always good practice to end things with an axolotl.

I'm sure I'll do more of these in the future but I know this isn't my usual fare and don't want to bore anyone. XD But on that note, I think expect what I post for a while to be all over the place stylistically and thematically. I'm in a transition state as an artist, not sure what I want to focus on and 'my style' is just a shapeshifting goo blob right now, and maybe always? Maybe that's ok? Maybe it's because I've gotten back online and exposed to new artists in a big way that I'm feeling very receptive to all art forms... I have this crazy desire to draw everything from chibis to realism, 3D modelling to watercolors, OCs and fanart and landscapes and memes. It's almost nearly paralyzing but not quite there, thankfully.

Btw, big thanks to you guys that followed me over to tumblr/twitter/instagram etc and made me feel welcome in strange new places! Y'all the best. <3

Mischievous axolotls are best axolotls. :3
Fun fact: One of my OC is very mischievous and her mon/kaiju/cosmic force takes form of an axolotl. They are both Cheshire cat-like.

Many great artists underwent changes in style.  :-)  Yours is brilliant, no matter what.  My daughter and I continue to adore it all.  By the way, I thought it was interesting that you consider your art a shapeshifting goo, considering you have an OC who was that, particularly.  I don't know if you were referencing him specifically, but that's who I thought of.  Good luck with your transition, and hope you end up in a happy place with your art!

It's always great when an artist tries new styles and techniques; it means you refuse to grow stagnant. I try to work something I've never done before into each post, so I feel bad for anyone who watches me because of that ONE thing I made, only to realize my other stuff won't look quite like that for a loooong time. Not everyone's a one-trick pony, bub. :D

Usual fare or not, I'm not bored. I love these critters you've been drawing.

And I feel the same about my approach to art. Seeing others use so many different styles and mediums always makes me want to try something different. I can never settle on wanting to do just one type of thing.
