Still managed to upload it on St. Valentine's Day! This comic was inspired by a savage quote on love by Rick Sanchez of "Rick and Morty" - it's almost directly used in panel 2 (and that's one of the reasons why I used Ricj and Morty stylization in this comic). The rest of Twilight's rant is my extension of the idea, mixed with deconstruction of MLP's magic of love.... and real life love as well. To be honest, this comic feels cathartic to me as I'm a lonely loner single and I need to be convinced that being single is actually quite a good thing if you look at it the right way so I don't end up being a frustrated lonely loner. Also, family pressure to find a girlfriend is always present so yeah...

Cadence is just doing whatever naive mare would do.
Two different parts of the brain light up for each emotion and you can have one without the other as humans have evolved past a lot of the things that make us comparable to animals.
In mature it' the same but in humans they actually are separate.

That said, maybe counterargument was the wrong word for me to use...regardless, I don't think it's that simple to just shrug off love as "mere chemicals"...it does feel to me like it cheapens and oversimplifies the whole concept undeservingly.
But that's just me.
