So, this comic concludes a mini series of comics about CMC's parents. In previous parts:

 Apple Is The New Orange - we could find out what happened to Applebloom's parents.
Not Today - and where Scootaloo's parents are.

You might say this one doesn't exactly reveal anything about Sweetie's parents but poor pony sure thinks otherwise right now. Also, a plot twist was necessary. And let's be honest, Middy made me change the story to slightly less outrageous than I initially planned
And why? You might say it's Rarity's revenge after Sweetie brought a giant crab to her house... Or simply because Rarity cares about her sister and knows that shock therapy is the best therapy.
