Digital 3 Dimensional Day 7 Project Educate
Well today's the last day for 3D's PE week: no one partook in the mini contest and thus no winners this time.
hoooh well
Today is just a re-cap day for what was said through out the week for 3D as well as some closing statements and features
3D CV position
The 3-dimensional community volunteer helps feature/take care of the 3D category, but also can partner up with myself, the Game Development Art CV.
I'd like to remind everyone that the position is still open, that I am only the temporary CV until a new CV can be chosen
Please by all means send in your applications
I would love to work with you, and love to see you on the team. If you have any questions about it, please don't hesitate to message me

(ie: your typical day doing this kind of art) :iconfunkybunnies: Normally I spend a good amount of time exploring an idea by searching for reference and inspiration. This can come in many forms and yo...
Day 3 an overview of the 3D Category and fan-art category -
Digital 3D PE Week Day 3Day 3 :la: It's getting wild up in here! No not really, but remember that there is a mini contest going on -> and a big gallery wide contest going on as well :la: -> 3-Dimensional...the category So the 3D category lives under digital art's main category on Deviant Art, but it also lives under Fan-art's main category as well. There are two tiers of 3 Dimensional art (as opposed to 3D Game art which is similar but different restrictions) and better understanding where your work belongs under will help keep your submissions clean and organized :la:Ultimately the biggest difference between Digital Art - 3D and Fan art - 3D is the difference...
Day 4 you, me and 3d main questions -
Digital 3D PE Week Day 4Digital 3D Project Educate Day 4 :la:Contest -> Mini contest -> You, me, and 3D: Getting started One of the most popular questions asked on 3D pieces is "how did you do this?" the second most common is "how did you start it?" So we'll be looking at an in depth explanation of both of those questions :)How do you get started? Well, it's simple just start! Maya, 3DS max come with learning/trial editions as well as the free programs blender, wings 3d, rhino, etc. Just pick it up and give it a try! Google is your friend for this as well, many tutorials on the basics of 3D in any field you're passionate about (modeling, rendering, animating,...

(ie: your typical day doing this kind of art) :iconpolygoncount: I usually draw up some sketches from a front and profile view of how I want a model to look (I do this for full models, as well as just faces. The model may not stay entirely true to the original sketches, but it helps define a character's shape :thumb375741545: > :thumb...
