POKEMORPHIC - Backdrop 1THE BACKSTORY:POKEMORPHIC - Backdrop 1 by AbramWinterSmith
For over 60 years RocketCorp has been the definitive leader in scientific advances, technological improvement, and the betterment of society. Under the corporate management of the Giovanni Family since its inception, the once humble organization has grown into a very powerful entity in the world in general. Over the last half-century, RocketCorp has initiated many programs to help the underprivileged; providing education, clothing, food, and hope to all branches of humanity everywhere.
The current Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Fransisco Giovanni, has been a beacon to the betterment of society, spearheading not only advances in human medicine and health, but branching out to the study of pokemon physiology and care and breeding. He has sponsored several dozen Pokemon Battle Tournaments and introduced new hybrid foods and medicines to help these beloved beings live longer, fight stronger, and be healthier than ever before. This is
POKEMORPHIC - Cerulean CityCERULEAN CITY The Capital of Verterra
The capital of the nation of Verterra and a cultural centerpiece, Cerulean was founded roughly 150 years ago by Whitney Bleu and Jacob Lind as a fishing settlement off of the Azure Ocean. It is the home of roughly 125,000 humans and has a pokemon population of roughly 70,000. The current number of pokemorphs living there is currently undetermined, but at least 100 are currently known to be incarcerated in the Verterra Prison System. With RocketCorp's Corporate Offices and Lab One within the city, there are bound to be more.
There are several major highways and journeyroads leading into and from Cerulean, including Coastal Highway 7, Motor Route 54A, Paveway 301, and Superhighway 10. In contrast to other cities, the original journeyroads (wide footpaths frequently used by non-motor vehicles and pokemon trainers) are meticulously maintained specifically Route 1, the Verterra
POKEMORPHIC - The ParadiseTHE PARADISE Pokemorph Revolutionary Main Camp
The semi-permanent encampment known sarcastically as "The Paradise" is located at Southwest Base of the Raidenstone Cluster, a small mountain range about 20 miles west-southwest of Cerulean City. There are no identifiable roads that lead to this refugee camp style settlement save a few small trails which split off into the surrounding light woods and across a number of fords. A jeep or other off road vehicle could navigate the way to the main entrance of the place, but many other conventional autos and trucks cannot. Unless a speedster-type pokemorph or pokemon knew the trails extensively, they would be very hard-pressed to get up to full speed safely.
The Paradise is a community of practically-built structures, lacking any real personality or flair: Most resemble wooden or steel sheds that have been converted into living quarters or barracks.
POKEMORPHIC - BattleSquare---WORK IN PROGRESS---
BattleSquare The Grand Arts of Pokemorph Fighting
When you combine the powers of pokemon and the creative flair and ingenuity of humanity and mix them together, you wind up with a sport that is distinctively pokemorph: BattleSquare. Created by a small group of Crucible Pokemorphs; the sport started as a way for the humanoids to give in to their monstrous side and to keep in touch with their human pokemon trainer roots (if they had them). What started as simple, straightforward battles quickly evolved to participants pushing their pokemon powers and their ability to use them in new, unexpected ways to their limits. In a short period of time, what was simply a way to pass the hours in hiding became a full-blown spectacle complete with organized tournaments, tag-teams, and gimmick matches. To an outsider, one would say they were watching a well-balanced blend of a pokemon battle and a professional w

POKEMORPH FREEDOM REVOLUTIONARIES
"We never asked to be changed; or to have what we had known all our lives to be ripped away by people who hide behind a mask of benevolence and charity. Yet our rights and status as victims of a business' grasping evil have been suspended, and we are seen as little more than monstrosities at best, or property at worst. This Revolution is a direct result of the events that led to our creation. Though we strive to make this conflict as bloodless as possible, there is no doubt the changes we affect upon the world will have lasting impact. We believe that the overall result can be very positive, but there is no denying that there will be pain and trials associated with our actions and the reactions of the public many of us were once a part of."

POKEMORPHIC - Vitality-Wounds VITALITY and WOUNDS
There are two types of damage that a character can sustain in Pokemorphic, which are described below.
This is a measure of how far a character can push himself or the amount of punishment he can take before becoming fatigued, exhausted, on the brink or rendered unconscious. Vitality represents damage from many standard sources, starvation, sleep depravation, dehydration, and the like.
At 1st Level, a character's Vitality is simply his Health Stat multiplied by 10. If the character has a Willpower of greater than 6.0, then they can add that stat -6 multiplied by 10 as well (I.E. a Willpower of 9.5 would give a character 35 extra Vitality).
Shawn's BackstoryThe mantis hybrid began talking, in an unnatural high pitch and with a slight lisp:
"So, you want to know my story? I guess it's only fair. You probably saved my life, so you deserve to know a little about me. I guess I'll start at the beginning."
"I was an only child, born into a... 'low-income family', to use the polite term. My mum and dad were always taking odd jobs to try and keep us going. I did too, when I had the time between schoolwork. Simple stuff - washing dishes, sweeping floors, that sort of thing. I had some interest in Pokemon training of course, every kid did. But I had to stay at home and keep my family going, there was no time for adventure. My mum always had faith that things would get better, though. She used to always tell me, 'Bide your time, and hold out hope.'"
"It was around high school that my life started getting interesting. In my first y
