Greetings Uranium fans!
It's time once again for the Great Wondertrade Extravaganza! This will be the third installment of the event, so prepare your breedjects for a mass exodus!

The Great Wondertrade Extravaganza is an online event where players breed as many 4/5/6IV, rare/hard to obtain, hidden ability, genderless, or shiny Pokemon as they can and then release them into the Wondertrade at the time of the event! This gives players the opportunity to receive many rare Pokemon! Hundreds will be dumped into the WT at the time of the event, and everyone is free to participate!

The event is being organized by our community manager, Cody, and the date is currently set for
Sunday, January 15th, giving breeders much time to prepare. However, we still need many players to participate in the breeding! If you're interested in participating, please send Cody a PM on the forums or Discord! For more information on the event and to sign up for participation, please see Cody's forum post!

Please keep in mind that your game should be running the most updated patch, 1.0.4H, for the most optimized online experience! If you're running a version later than 1.0.2, run the patcher in your game folder. All previous versions will need to run the patch installer.

To stay up to date with all patches and updates, news, and content, please see the following links. We are present on Reddit, the forums, Facebook, and Discord. We also have a website and Wikia for information about the game.

Our website is still holding the Fan Art Contest mentioned in previous journals for artists to display their creations about the game on the site! For further information on this, please see Amibu's forum post here and post your submission on this form. Amibu stated earlier in the week that the gallery page is almost finished, so make sure to get your submission in before the contest ends!

And, finally, our lead developer, L (a.k.a. Unknown Entity/ReeNormies), has informed us that the 1.1 update should be out within the week! Please look forward to that; there will be a journal describing the change log released alongside the update itself. Stay tuned for more information~!

Have fun, and happy breeding!

Starting now, the Christmas Mystery Gift Pokemon is currently available!

This event will run to New Years Day, so get your hands on the surprise Pokemon quickly!
We want to give people spending time with their families during the holidays plenty of time to receive their gift.

Remember, in order to receive the gift, your game will first need to be updated to the latest game version. If you're running a version later than 1.0.2, run the patcher in your game folder. All previous versions will need to run the patch installer.

As many of you are aware, as of September 21, 2016, Involuntary-Twitch and JV have stepped down as the developers of Pokemon Uranium. We are extremely grateful for their contributions and equally regretful to see their hard work come under such scrutiny by Nintendo. For more information about the rise and fall of Uranium, please see Twitch's blog post about it and the Official Statement by the Uranium Team. I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for them to depart from their work after so many years developing it.

But that leaves a critical question on everyone's minds: "where does this leave the game?" After all, there were many side quests left unfinished, the post game left barren, and many Pokemon, specifically Aotius, Mutios, the three legendary leviathans, Zephy, and the Punks, left unimplemented.

To put it simply, we aren't going to give up, and this isn't the game's end. With Twitch and JV's blessing, a new developmental team arose from the community to continue supporting the game's updates and online services.

Our team is hard at work as we speak working on a massive update, 1.1, which will include (but not be limited to):

-Several bug, text, and performance fixes
-Two new musical tracks (and all tracks edited to be seamless)
-The addition of Praseopunk and Neopunk
-New HM items including the surfboard, scuba gear, and more
-More Nuzlocke options (including a Shiny Clause)
-and an entire Spanish translation of the game!

There are also several other smaller additions to be included in 1.1 as well, which will be elaborated on here when the change log is published.

There will also be a smaller patch on Christmas (time zone and gift length to be determined) which will include a surprise Mystery Gift Pokemon! Please stay tuned for precise times of release.

To stay up to date with all patches and updates, news, and content, please see the following links. We are present on Reddit, the forums, Facebook, and Discord. We also have a website and Wikia for information about the game. Please see the following links below.

Also, I want to stress: please do not trust any unofficial downloads from sources that come from outside of these links. Many redistributions are either extremely out-of-date (1.0, 1.0.1) or may contain harmful malware.

The current version of the game is 1.0.4H. (NOTE: It is listed on the patcher as 1.0.4E from October 28, 2016, but that is only because the text in game wasn't fixed to match the current version number.) If you are running a game version earlier than 1.0.2, the patcher in your game files will no longer function. You will need to update by redownloading the game via the installer. If you are running version 1.0.2 or later, you can run the patcher located in your game files to update.

Please also remember to regularly back up your saved games in case of crashes or corruptions. You can find that folder in C:\Users\[YOUR NAME]\Saved Games\Pokemon Uranium.

Please be aware that the game's website is currently holding a Fan Art Contest for artists to display their creations on the site! More information on this here and post your submission on this form.

Finally, I'd like to announce that we are currently seeking translators for the game! We are currently beta testing the Spanish translation, and there are French, German, and Chinese translations in the works. Our lead translation developer, Samrux, has produced a guide on translating the game, so please contact him via the Reddit or Discord if you're interested in joining the translation team or have a translation idea of your own.

To conclude, this game isn't gone forever. In light of the recent events relating to fan games utilizing Nintendo's IPs and receiving C&Ds, many development teams are scared, devastated, and heartbroken, and some may give up before they even realize their dreams. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the development team of Pokemon Prism, which had its dreams crushed days before the game's release.
But please, don't be discouraged. We will stay strong.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of this game. Without the community supporting it, we wouldn't have been able to continue realizing this dream to its conclusion.

Pokemon Uranium 4.2 is here!

Download Here

This new beta contains bugfixes and many performance improvements over v4.1 and v4.0, including for our (still experimental) PvP Battles feature! That's right -- you can actually battle against your friends, in real time!

However, the most important change in this patch is the presence of the Patcher! With this .exe file you can from now on update your game files from there! I recommend always running your game from there now.

Patcher.exe is located on the root of your Game folder. It has the same icon as the game file.

Here's a list of what's changed in this beta:

- Patcher now included on the game files, updating the game couldn't be easier!
- Bug Fixes (99% of bugs reported in 4.1 have been fixed)
- Bug Fixes include the elevator bug and F12 crashing the game.
- Huge performance improvement on the more demanding maps.
- Balance Tweaks
- And Even More!

And here's what was updated in v4.1:

- Bug Fixes (99% of bugs reported in 4.0 have been fixed)
- All-New PvP battles (Use the new Online Lobby to battle against your friends!)
- EV/IV Display (EVs and IVs now display in the Status menu)
- Super Training (A fun minigame that lets you quickly raise Effort Values)
- Berries (Are now working properly, and EV-lowering berries have been added in)
- PokeGear Phone (Call up trainers to rematch them -- their teams' levels dynamically change to match yours!)
- More Shinies
- More TM Lists done
- Balance Tweaks
- New Attack Animations
- And Even More!

As always, you are welcome to use the forums to discuss the game, report any errors you may find, and find people to trade and battle.

We hope you enjoy!

~JV and Twitch
Time has come! After pretty much one and a half year since the last beta was released I can say (for the forth time!!) we have a lot of content done to the extent I can't test all of it by myself and need help from dedicated testers. Like what I did for most releases (except for 3.0) I will do a closed beta beforehand the actual release to (try to) rule out every game breaking bugs and most minor glitches. It's also a great opportunity to test the game balancing, pokemon stats/movesets and to gauge how fun the game is!

Active forum/wikia users and people that I know that are involved in pokémon fangames etc will get the priority. HOWEVER it's not all fun for you if you decide to be a tester. There are a few rules you must follow if you want to be included on future beta versions:

-Do NOT share the game files with anyone else.
-Consistently report every bug, problem, typo you find! Also give your opinion on everything. (testers will have their own hidden section where they can report everything)
-Do NOT spoil the other members/players.
-You can stream your testing if you want, but give a spoiler alert when posting the link.

ANYONE interested in this will need to register on the forums  since the bug reporting will be done there. Testers will gain access to a hidden section where they will be able to report bugs/typos and discuss about the game. People interested in being a tester make a post here and register on the forums so I know. I'll update this post with a list of users that will be included!
