Both are stern, blue and white themed swordmasters who have serious personalities and desire for power and to be above the rest and possess superhuman powers due to their heritage (demonic energy and Kamui respectively)

Both are hybrids from being the child of a human (Eva and Soichiro Kiryuin/Isshin Matoi respectively) and a supernatural (Sparda and Ragyo Kiryuin respectively), the latter whom they despised growing up

Both are known for wielding powerful katanas (Yamato and Bakuzan respectively) and possess a strong transformation (Devil Trigger and Junketsu respectively) in which they can achieve higher level forms (Vergil can tap into Sin Devil Trigger which taps into his demon heritage. Whereas Junketsu can absorb Life Fibers to use Senpu, Senpu Zankan and Shinzui)

Both have a rivalry with their red-colored siblings (Dante and Ryuko Matoi respectively), with their first fight ending in their defeat. But as time passed, both their siblings would become strong enough to defeat them. Their defeat would cause them to set their differences aside and reconcile to face a bigger evil (Dante and Vergil going into the Demon World to sever the roots of Qilpoth while Ryuko and Satsuki would defeat their mother Ragyo)
