DEATH BATTLE: Spider-Man VS Ladybug

Connections:

Both are high school students who are red-colored and has theme about insects (spiders and ladybugs respectively). They both have to deal with school bullies (Flash Thompson and Chloe Bourgeois respectively) who later become allies when their services are enlisted to fight the good fight (More so with Chloe). Many episodes or comic stories are dedicated to when they just cant handle two separate lives, and what happens because of it.

Both got their secret identities released, and it causes massive destruction to them (Aunt May is hospitalized because Peter reveals his secret identity. Ladybug actually died and Paris (as well as pretty much the whole world and universe if Ladybug did not intervene) is destroyed because the wrong people found out about her secret identity)

Both gain back their secret through crazy means (Peter has to literally make a deal with the devil to save Aunt May and his secret and the expense of his relationship with Mary Jane while Ladybug has to go into the future to stop Cat Blanc and then go backwards in time to prevent the reveal of her secret, finally returning to the present)

Both really smart and at the top of their class and have complicated love lives

Both are also able to "web swing" (Peter with his web-shooters and Marinette with her yoyo)

Both have assembled and led teams of superheroes (Spider Society and Web Warriors for Peter, Team Miraculers for Marinette)

Both have to deal with enemies that can affect emotions (Venom is a Symbiote who can affect their host's mental stability and make them more savage and brutal while Hawk Moth uses butterflies to "akumatize" people with negative feelings). They have to deal with problems that occur when they fall under the influence of said opponents

Both their main villains (Green Goblin/Norman Osborn and Hawk Moth respectively) are the father of their close friends (Goblin Prince/ Harry Osborn and Cat Noir/Adrien Agreste respectively) who once owned high-end companies (Oscorp and Gabriel respectively)

Both have a contrast in their powers (Peter is a scientific superhero who gained his powers through a radioactive spider bite, while Marinette is a magical superhero got her powers through the magical Kwamis)
