DEATH BATTLE: Hulk VS Godzilla

Marvel vs Godzilla

Radiation inbound as two titans break the battlefield!

Connections:

Both are extremely powerful beings mutated by nuclear radiation that happened during wars in the 20th century (The nuclear arms race of the Cold War and the Hiroshima Bombing od the Second World War) in representation of the fear and anger those at the time were afraid to confront (Hulk representing the United States and Godzilla representing Japan)

Both would wonder the earth fighting off fellow monsters and borderline gods usually as a hero but also through a sense of survival and sometimes just enjoying it. Usually lashing out against a world that fears and accidentally created them seen as monsters created from humanity's own hubris and fear of hypocritical destruction

Both are classified as so destructive the planet itself becomes unlivable through encouraged rampages and involuntarily spreading diseases

While using said radiation as a part of their arsenal through self-destruction, absorption, beams of energy, regeneration, and multiple world-threatening forms World Breaker and Burning/Super, Devil and Heaven Spiral, Titan and HellBats respectively) which grant them new abilities and extoll built up energy.

Both can absorb natural and magical radiation to improve healing and power

While seen as monsters, both still retain a sense of morality and tactical intelligence

Later in their career would spawn franchise clones created in their name and image and other essential characters to their now massive franchise (She-Hulk and Zilla respectively)

After dying for the umpteenth time would go to hell and relive their history as a character fighting old foes and absorbing a fraction of its power gaining an enhanced healing factor where if they die will be resurrected and heal from whatever killed them or wander its etherial landscape as a soul and return as a mound of riving flesh.

Both their series had a crossover comic, though have never actually met, let alone fight
