Connections:

Both are normal yet rebellious teenage human girls who accidentally end up in a fantasy world filled with dangerous creatures due to said rebellious nature (Amphibia for Anne and the Demon Realm for Luz), where they grew close with their adoptive families (the Plantars for Anne and Eda and King for Luz) and where they grew as their own person, despite being human outcasts

Both of them had to face major threats that are also humans who they trusted and also got lost in the fantasy world (Anne had to fight her human friend Sasha while Luz had to fight Belos, who is actually the human, Phillip Wittlebane, who Luz initially admired as another human in the Boiling Isles). They both ended up back home at the end of the second season while in a mentally exhausted state before quickly going back to the fantasy world to save it from the villains they realized they needed to stop (King Andrias and the Core for Anne and Emperor Belos and the Collector for Luz)

Both have also accidentally helped the villains of their fantasy worlds due to not knowing they were villains (Anne helped King Andrias collect the power of the Calamity Stones and Luz helped Phillip Wittlebane learn glyph magic and meet the Collector, who was revealed to be Emperor Belos)

Both of them faced villains who later turned down their evil ways to help out in the end despite their differences (King Andrias and the Collector respectively). Both have died via disintegration in their series finales trying to stop their respective villains who fused with a giant formation to destroy said world (the Core fusing with the moon and Belos fusing with the Titan/Boiling Isles) before being brought back by their show's overarching protagonists who kickstarted the history of the events of the series (Guardian and Papa Titan respectively), though Anne died after destroying the Core while Luz died protecting the Collector from Belos.

The official creators and voice actors of Amphibia and The Owl House did a crossover panel where Anne, Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop meet Luz and Eda
