Meritocracy
Democracy is one of the most sacred ideas in modern politics—and one of the most overrated.
They say that giving everyone an equal say in choosing their leaders is the foundation of good leadership. But in reality, democracy is little more than a way for tyrants and manipulators to usurp power. Democracy favours flashiness, popularity and superficial appeal—whoever's best at telling people what they want to hear. It's a system that's easy as sin to manipulate.
If you don't believe me, just take a look at the mess the world is in.
If democracy worked, the world wouldn't be falling apart. Cancer patients wouldn't need a GoFundMe for chemotherapy. Diabetics wouldn't ration insulin to survive. Climate change wouldn't be devouring the planet. Millions of people wouldn't be starving and homeless. Girls wouldn't have to cross state lines to get abortions. Police wouldn't get away with murder on camera. Schools wouldn't be factories of abuse at best and warzones of infanticide
