My 2 ideas for SRPG Studio (Warning the 1st idea here would be rather long.)

1. Fire Emblem Three Houses Extended Edition

(Note: This idea will contain spoilers for 3 Houses so beware, also some of these details are still a WIP.)

While I, like many other Nintendo Switch players, have enjoyed Fire Emblem 3 Houses but I do think that there are plenty of aspects that should be dwelled upon and expanded. (While many of us were understandably glad that 3 Houses was one cart while Fates was 2 with 1 DLC route. But the fact that 3 Houses was 1 cart was probably while half of the routes were a bit underdone, and it had a fair amount of cut content.) Anyways I would split the game’s main story into 5 or 6 routes in which each route will have a different protagonist each. (In which this will technically be a series of games since its apparently more doable than adding multiple paths in one game.) In which the routes are…

Azure Moon (Dimitri & the Blue Lions)

Crimson Flower (Edelgard & the Black Eagles)

Verdant Wind (Claude & the Golden Deer)

Cindered Shadows (Yuri & the Ashen Wolves)

I was initially thinking of add these as well…

Silver Snow (Church of Seiroes, mainly Seteth, Flayn & Rhea)

White Clouds (Byleths & the Knights of Seiroes)

But I was wondering whether I should combine the two into one or not. I admit I do wonder if I should give the other lands their own routes but I’m not sure whether to do that or not. But I am also thinking of expanding the lands outside of Fodlan especially since most of them get little to no representation or even presence in the game. However, the main story missions in each route would more focus on certain lands outside of Fodlan such as…

Azure Moon- Duscur & Sreng

Crimson Flower- Brigid

Verdant Wind- Almyra

Cindered Shadows- The Undergrounds of all across Fodlan

White Clouds- Dagda

And such, but while the routes will focus on their respective lands in the Main Story Missions, each route will have plenty of side missions where you go to the other lands. (In which it can be a great source of getting additional allies but more on that later.) Anyways while the Main Story of each of the routes will share a few of the same or similar missions, each route will have missions that will be a part of the main story in that route but will be Side Missions/Paralogues in other routes. What do I mean you may ask? Simple, for example the incident with Ashe & Lord Lonato would be a Main Story mission in Azure Moon but would be a side mission in the other routes. (Though granted some of the characters that are starring in the route will get Paralogues of their own.) Now as for the paralogues, well you know how each side mission stars one or two require characters (or more than that in 3 Hopes). But in my concept here I am thinking about having each paralogue star one (& maybe occasionally two) characters for that mission but each paralogue will also star 1 or 2 characters who are primarily linked to the route you are in. Take for example the early one where Lorenz faces Acheron in a territorial dispute which would star him and the following depending on the route such as…

Azure Moon- Annette

Crimson Flower- Ferdinand

Verdant Wind- Claude

Cindered Shadows- Balthus

And the like, as the opening & the ending scene for each paralogue will be needless to say differ on the route. There will be several alterations in the main story events here such as…

• Certain adversaries will be allies this time such as Lord Lonato for example. (In which when the Church of Serios orders Catherine to arrest Christopher than kill him for being suspected of being in an assassination plot. So, Christopher was taken by the Western Church instead.) In which instead of fighting Lonato & his militia you aid them against the Western Church. But I am also toying with the idea of having certain characters be adversaries at first but become recruitable later. (In which in some cases these characters were adversaries at first because they were forced to by far more villainous adversaries.)

• Indech & Macuil will be in Humanoid forms as they assist Rhea & Seteth over matters of the Church of Seiroes. Indech is a rather mellow, calm, and reasonable man who is a bit of a contrast to his stern brothers. Though Indech has a soft spot towards younger children such as Bernadetta and his dear niece Flayn. Meanwhile Macuil is a stern intellectual who can make Seteth appear easygoing in comparison. (But like Indech can be softer towards smaller children like Flayn.) In which Macuil provides a very firm but fair counsel to Rhea as he is the eldest of the 3 brothers. During Macuil’s initial support convo with Claude, Claude mocks Macuil thinking he has a problem with Almyrans since he seems to be so cold & aloof to him. Macuil assures Claude that is not the case at all and that he is fine with commoners it’s the Fodlan nobility he has a problem with. (Namely how Macuil recalls on how many times he has had to but heads with Fodlan nobility over how Garreg Mach should be a place of quality & merit rather than prestige and privilege.) Oh yes and I’m thinking that Indech & Macuil would go by Sheldon & Griffith as their names in public in which Seteth would lightly point out at 1 point if that is a bit “on the nose”.

• Speaking of which Rhea and Seteth’s brothers will occasionally question (and at times lightly tease) Seteth on why he insists that his daughter Flayn should be publicly known as his little sister. Certain other characters will learn of Flayn’s parentage such as Catherine for example as she wonders if Lady Rhea is Flayn’s mother. Though Rhea & Seteth immediately assured her that is not the case at all.

• Both Male (Beret) & Female (Beres) Byleths will be present as twin siblings as the children of Jeralt who were raised by him as Mercenaries. The same basic thing would apply to Shez as well as they will be twin siblings who are rival mercenaries.

• Since each of the routes will have a different protagonist, they all will start with fighting off a bunch of bandits in slightly varying circumstances. But each route will have a different minor bandit ringleader as the first boss in which how well they do in their respective attacks might slightly vary. (And what role they may have in the routes they are not the 1st boss in may vary as well.)

• Caspar’s father Leopold is a prominent Military Soldier in the Adrestian Empire but is a bit of a Shell-Shocked Veteran as he has seen things that he is not proud of during the Brigid war. While yes, he did slay Petra’s father for being a prominent leader in the resistance against the Empire but when he was given orders to destroy Petra’s village and slaughter all the natives there he refused and told his men he would take full responsibility. In which he did argue with the higher ups at the Empire for not following that order but as he was there to put down a rebellion, not engage in some ethnic cleansing. But then certain nobles agreed that fully penalizing someone prominent like Leopold could potentially lead to some PR trouble. Though shortly after this Leopold does see the aftermath of a different Brigid village that got destroyed with all the charred corpses there which would eventually lead to some difficult conversations with his son Caspar.

• On a lighter note, I’m thinking of adding in Raphael’s little sister Maya as a student who has quite a crush on Ignatz. But while Maya can be rather sweet on Ignatz she gets cranky to others such as her big brother and any girl who can be competition for Ignatz (which is apparently a lot, but she does mellow out on certain girls though). But at one point she wonders if she should try to play matchmaker on her brother in which she has ulterior motives for.

• I will be less reliant on Dramatic Irony as a lot of the battles in 3 Houses were fueled by misunderstandings caused by TWSITD. (As proof that none of the sides in the game were truly “bad” aside from TWSITD.)

• Lady Rhea will play a more active role in the Church of Seiroes as Garreg Mach is actually one of the most socially tolerant places in Fodlan as its one of the few places were foreigners are welcome. (And it’s one of the few places that will actually punish guards who do any racial profiling.) But also plays up her relationships with her fellow Nabateans and has a softer spot for younger children such as Cyril & Flayn. But on a more serious note, I would explore how her stern tendency to meet potential threats with violence can at times cause more damage than good. And Rhea feels some guilt when she finds out when certain knights like Catherine & Alois have felt guilt about some of their past actions.

• While yes, I will be downplaying any animosity between Dimitri, Edelgard & Claude but rest assured I will give all 3 of their lands plenty of dark pasts to maintain the “Shades of Gray” here. (Though granted the Empire would have the darkest past out of the 3 Fodlan lands. In which Edelgard will initially be pretty prideful regarding her Empire but how long that will last will depend on the route.)

• Oh yes and from a gameplay standpoint, all of the regions within Fodlan and out would have professions/classes that one could unlock over the course of the game. While all of the professions can potentially be unlocked in any route but how easily you can get them will depend on the route you are on.

Oh yes and one other thing is that while certain playable characters will be more prominent in the route you are on but technically all playable characters can be playable in every route. (In which what I mean by prominent I mean would get by the main story while everyone else you can get through a bunch of side missions among other means.) Now rest assured I’m well aware of how controversial it may be to do away with the big “Demitri Vs. Edelgard War” plot point. (As Claude tends to struggle for relevance during the War Phase.) But yes, all 3 of the lords will get along and stay that way namely because they will have a fair amount of villains that they need to face as they try to conquer their respective homes. But perhaps I am getting a bit ahead of myself huh? I will admit to you all that this will be one big Fusion Fic with various other Fire Emblem games among various other game series. In which many of these characters will be allies, adversaries and in some cases NPCs. Why would I do such a thing, you ask? Well…

• Because any SRPG project can do lots of characters in which the maximum amount can be up to 30,000 units. (But rest assured I’m not insane enough to go that high.)

• It would be a way to really add to the population towards the various lands such as Faerghus, Adrestia, Leicester, Church of Seiroes to outside of Fodlan such as Duscur, Dagda, Sreng, Brigid & Almyra.

• Many of these characters will go by various other roles such as townspeople, soldiers, knights, mercenaries, Garreg Mach Teachers, Garreg Mach Students, merchants to villains such as brigands, pirates, dark mages, and warlords among others.

• Not all of the characters will be playable though as a fair amount of them will be NPCs such as townspeople, merchants, and the like. But doing things this way I can potentially do without having nameless NPCs (or at least keep that to a minimum).

Though one other reason is my idea on how to adapt the “Battalion Squad” concept from 3 Houses. Namely to have them be a squad of playable characters that you either get by hiring them via the Battalion Guilds or have certain squads attached to certain (usually Lord or Lord adjacent) characters. In which said squad members will have support convos with each other and the unit they are assigned to (among others). While yes, a fair amount of these characters will get relatively minor roles outside of support chains. But a good portion of them can get prominent roles as well as I shall give you all examples.

• Remember when I said that certain other villains would plot against our 3 lords to control Fodlan? Certain examples would be the Mad King Ashnard (Fire Emblem PoR) for Adrestia, a dangerous deranged war criminal who was exiled by the empire for wanting to overthrow the emperor who conspires with other imperial war criminals. Lord Lima (Fire Emblem Echoes) a Faerghus Nobleman who is practically invulnerable due to his crest of Mila, a deviant who can go from depraved to deranged due to the illicit substances he often partakes. And there is Lundgren (Fire Emblem Blazing Blade) of Leicester, Lyndis’ evil racist Uncle. Lord Lundgren is the most prominent Leicester nobleman who opposes a “filthy” Almyran like Claude to lead the Alliance as he strongly feels that the only good Almyran is a dead one.

• The Basilisk crew Medeus and his followers from the original Fire Emblem are prominent and highly dreaded & feared villains here. Not too long after destroying House Altea and slaying Lord Corenelius and his wife and stealing the Falchion. Some of the members such as Khozen and Morzas were sent to Duscur to greet the King of Faerghus with a massacre. In which Khozen starts things off by lighting the Duscur town that the King was in with his fire breath. While King Lambert’s solders were getting slaughtered by the Basilisk, he tries to give them a rousing speech to give them hope but then Morzas swipes Lambert’s head clean off as he tosses it to a traumatized young Demitri. Then Felix’s brother Glenn tries to save Demitri, but Morzas then sadistically and violently gave Glenn a beating which broke his armor then he slashed Glenn’s throat then he finished Glenn off by ripping off his heart and crushing it in his hand. In which Morzas taunted young Demitri about how he was going to mutilate him too until he got told that he was ordered to spare the boy in which he did. Over the years Demitri has tried to tell his people that the people of Duscur were not at fault of the Tragedy and that it was a group of monstrous men in hooded cloaks, but people thought it was just a product of his shock & trauma. But certain folks like Marth and Seteth were willing to believe Demitri though. Long ago, Morzas killed Seteth’s wife and severely injured Flayn to prevent Seteth’s wife from exposing Medeus’ plans to other Nabateans. In which Seteth has had a strong vendetta against Basilisk, particularly Morzas and wants him dead as Rhea and his brothers definitely understand why. It will be revealed that ages ago Medeus & Sothis were rivals over who should rule the Nabateans, but they had rather differing views on the human race in which Medeus was willing to use allies like the Agarthans to deal with his competition. While the Basilisk want to claim that they fight for Nabatean Supremacy and that the humans don’t deserve mercy, Rhea and her allies deem them to be treacherous monsters who only want power & destruction.

• But on a much lighter note, most of the other Manaketes such as Bantu, Tiki, Corrin (both male & female), Azura, Gotoh and the like will be denizens of Garreg Mach mostly as priests or knights of Seiroes. (Or in certain cases such as the younger ones like Fae and Nah would be residents.) In which some of the other creatures/races such as the Beorc & Taguel will most likely be residing in the abyss in which some are a bit divided over why do they have to be living underground?

• In upholding Fusion Fic tradition, the familial connections with certain characters might change. In some cases, it may involve the 3 Houses cast like I had the idea of Valbar (from FE Gaiden/Echoes) be a Leicester Knight who is Raphael & Maya’s kind & supportive uncle. I am also thinking of changing Lissa (FE Awakening) from Chrom & Emmeryn’s little sister to Emmeryn and Frederick’s daughter. In which Lissa’s siblings will be Owain, Odin, Ophelia, Maribelle & Brady. Though some will have less than traditional family settings like how Chrom has daughters with Sumia… and Cordelia & Sully. How, you ask? Simple one night back when Chrom, Sumia, Cordelia & Sully were academy students they had a little party in Chrom’s room with a fair amount of booze and well one thing led to another and… While Chrom did receive plenty of scolding (& jokes) about getting 3 girls pregnant at once he does try to be responsible and raise them all. A little subplot regarding Virion is the discovery that has had some surprise lovechildren such as the son he had with his former maid Cherche and the twin sons & daughter he had with a pretty young dancer he once had a chance encounter with. (In which rest assured there were questions about just how many other kids Virion unknowingly fathered over the years.) But on a more serious note, I’m thinking of having Emmeryn a kind & prominent noblewoman in Leicester who is one of the few who openly supports Claude’s rule of the Alliance. However, in the past Chrom & Emmeryn’s late father was a respected Leicester Lord until Lord Lundgren manipulated him into going on a crusade against the Almyrans due to the dark cult the Grimleal. Chrom still has horrible memories as his father went increasingly unhinged trying to take out anyone who could be Grimleal to anyone who happens to be Almyran. (In which Chrom blames Lundgren for setting his father down a dark path.) However, Emmeryn tries to work at making peace with Almyra, which is rather divisive in the Leicester Alliance.

• I’m sure you’re wondering about all the ‘2nd Gen” units from games like Awakening, Fates, and such. Some will maintain their official Child/Parent relationship such as Lucina & Chrom, Arthur & Percy but others will be reimagined as siblings instead. (Along with the aforementioned Lissa & Maribelle there will also be Silas/Sophie, Hinata/Hisame and such.) In which some cases both parents will be confirmed such as Benny & Rinkah as the parents of Ignatius. However, in some other cases the identity of one parent is known but the other is ambiguous (at least for now) such as how Laurent & Ricken are the half-brother sons of Miriel.

• While I am thinking of delving more into the lands outside of Fodlan such as Almyra, Duscur, Dagda and the like. But for Dagda I am thinking of making it more like the FE China and give it smaller lands such as Hoshido (Japan), Shadaloo (Thailand), Eolith Province (Korea). But I am not sure whether I would be doing this to any of the other lands though.

• Though speaking of the other lands & their representation, I’ll provide Almyra as an example. There are emissaries such as Lord Gangrel (& his assistant Aversa) who does want to be supportive of Prince Khal… err… Claude but hates how many times he’s been harassed by Leicester Alliance Guards. Fogado & his little sister Timerra (FE Engage) are good friends of Claude as there are the kids of an Almyra Emissary Seforia as well. Unlike the older Almyrans Fogado & Timerra support Claude in his efforts to bridge peace between Almyra & Fodlan as they too have friends in Fodlan as well. While Claude initially had some reservations regarding the Church at first, he did notice how Almyrans are much more welcomed in Garreg Mach than they are in the Leicester Alliance. Now, as for Claude’s brother Shahid, he will be introduced in a Chapter where he wants to pick a fight with the Alliance’s border and it’s up to Claude and his friends to face him. (Though which additional allies he will have will depend on the route you are on.) Shahid has a strong hatred for Fodlan particularly with the Alliance and the Empire for their legacies of racism but is more disappointed in Faerghus (since their history is a bit more recent). However, Shahid is much more cordial towards non-Fodlanders such as Petra for example. While Shahid will initially be an adversary, he will become an Ally as he begrudgingly respects Garreg Mach for treating Almyrans better than the rest of Fodlan. Though on a lighter note one scene I had in mind with Shahid is that he gets into a petty argument with Lorenz as they bicker on who is the primmer & more proper noble (in which Claude is stuck in between as he resists the urge to jam his arrows up his ears).

• I will also try to delve into the Border War with the Alliance and Almyra (mostly on Claude’s route but still). At one point Rhea wanted an audience with Claude as she wanted to talk with him about certain matters within the Alliance. Namely how not long ago an incident occurred when Cyril was being approached by a small group of Bounty Hunters (the Redneck Snipers from Dead Rising 2). The Hunters were harassing Cyril as they were looking for a thief and wondering if they had already found him. While Cyril tried to explain to them that he is on business for Lady Rhea, they are skeptical that the church would hire a filthy little Amyran like him. But when Cyril tried to ignore them and told them to get lost then the Bounty Hunters decided to give Cyril a beating for getting a little too uppity. But then Seteth drops in and asks what is going on as Flayn quickly notices Cyril’s wounds and proceeds to heal him. Then the rather overweight Derrick threatens Flayn to smash her face in for this until Seteth lunges his axe inches away from Derrick’s skull. Then the older ringleader of the group Deetz tries to rationalize with Seteth that they are hunters who were hired by Lord Lundgren of the Alliance to capture a thieving Almyran. While Seteth takes a look at the wanted poster and notices how Cyril hardly looks anything like the person in it, Deetz brushes it off claiming that all Almyrans look alike. Then Seteth calmly accepted Deetz’s answer then he ordered the guards to have those hunters arrested at once. In which Seteth explains that since this is their first offense, they will be kicked off Garreg Mach and sent back into the Lundgren territory and if they try anything else in Garreg Mach their punishment would be much more severe. After that being said Seteth warns them that they were lucky that Lady Rhea was not there at the time as she would’ve been far less merciful. In which Rhea and Shamir were quite angry at this but Rhea understood why Seteth handled things so diplomatically but does agree with Seteth that she would’ve been far less merciful. It is revealed that the Redneck Hunters were former members of Holst’s soldiers in the Alliance’s Border Control, but Holst fired them for their rather unnecessarily violent tendencies. (That and the fact that the crew’s youngest Johnny has openly bragged that he will one day have his way with Holst’s sister Hilda does not help at all.) So, rest assured one way or another you will get to take the Redneck Hunters down. Though in certain supports Seteth & Rhea want some answers from Holst over how was Cyril treated when he was working in House Goneril which eventually causes Holst to reluctantly give them answers.

• But I will also delve into Faerghus’ history with other lands such as Duscur & Sreng. In which ages ago the Kingdom became the first land in Fodlan to make capturing & enslaving foreigners from other lands like Duscur be a strictly illegal practice. But this does not stop traders from trying to capture folks from Duscur and move them into the Fodlan Black Market. Though King Lambert, like other Kings before him, would lead raids into saving the people of Duscur from these traders. In which Benny would be loyal to Demitri despite recent events as he recalls when King Lambert saved his family from traders long ago. In which it’s a barely veiled secret that not all the nobles in Faerghus agree with the Kingdom’s anti-slavery laws which fuels some speculation whether certain nobles played a part in orchestrating the Tragedy of Duscur.

• One of the other little plot points is on how Garreg Mach can be quite the refuge to not only commoners but nobility as well. Even to former Nobility who lost their lands due to issues in their homelands. While there will be those who have to reside in the Abyss like Constance & Balthus. Some will have a more active role in Garreg Mach such as Knights, Scholars, or Students like the Nohr family (FE Fates) where Xander & Camilla become knights and Leo & Elise are students. (After the tragic downfall of Lord Garon within the Empire.) While Garreg Mach would have former Faerghus & Leicester Nobles residing, most of them are from the Adrestian Empire (which does give Edelgard some pause occasionally).

Though remember when I said that some plots would be shared among the routes whether it be the main story modes and/or the Side Missions/Paralogues? There will be certain plots in which the outcomes will differ depending on the route by which for the most part things will work out for the heroes but there will be a route where things take a darker turn. Here are some examples…

• Bernadetta will be either captured (Crimson Flower, Azure Moon) or is going to be (Verdant Wind, Cindered Shadows, White Clouds) and it’s up to our heroes to save/protect her. The routes where you protect Bernadetta turn out successfully. But the routes where you save Bernadetta from capture do vary. In Azure Moon our heroes try to save Bernadetta in Varley Manor where our heroes were too late as Count Varley has made had his daughter Bernadetta be turned into a Half-Human and Half-Demonic Creature as a weapon. Needless to say, the reactions from our heroes were mainly shocked & horrified and/or wanting Count Varley to pay violently for this. While Count Gregoire Varley claims that harming him would harm Bernadetta due to their bond from their Crest but fortunately certain folks like Linhardt & Hanneman can easily call the Count’s bluff out. While after defeating the Count and subduing Bernadetta while alas the Count escapes but fortunately Indech is able to save Bernadetta from her mutation back at Garreg Mach. While in Crimson Flower it seems that saving Bernadetta from a cult of Dark Masked Men seemed to be successful. However, Bernadetta’s personality seems to change a bit as she is not quite as skittish as she normally is, which does raise some suspicion (in which she is now often seen wearing some headwear). But the matter is soon dropped for being glad that she is okay. But it is later revealed that Bernadetta had a Slave Crown (ala Final Fantasy 6) placed on her to be more loyal to her father and have her unknowingly spy on Edelgard.

• I will maintain the Remire Village incident where Tomas reveals himself as Solon and unleashes a Hate Plague on the Village as it’s on fire. But this time Solon will chant the spell “Eu Sunt Dracul!” and turn the infected villagers into undead monstrosities. But in most routes, he will point out how he was going to mention how Bernadetta Von Varley was going to be one of his latest experiments in which our heroes (particularly the Black Eagles) are eager to prevent him from getting that chance. But in Azure Moon, Solon was successful and gloats about how he takes credit for Bernadetta’s mutation. Needless to say, many of our heroes (particularly the Black Eagles) want to take down Solon for this violently. (In which the fact that Solon cruelly adds in other details like thanking Dorothea for being the last one to see Bernadetta and him as Tomas before Bernie’s capture made his plans go easier.) But as for the Golden Deer, when he isn’t busy menacing Lysithea over her memories of his experiments he makes cryptic threats towards Marianne that she’s next. But rest assured certain folks like Hilda are quite determined to make sure that does not happen.

• One mission within the Leicester Alliance would be to save a small group of innocent Almyrans who were captured within the Lundgren territory. In most routes the mission was successful and the Almyrans were saved. However, in Claude’s route after when the captors were defeated our heroes were too late to save the Almyrans as they discovered their hanging corpses. Needless to say, Claude was horrified to see this as this shook him to his core. Back in Garreg Mach, Claude was highly upset as he was starting to agree with his brother Shahid more & more. Claude was at one point even going to lash out at his Golden Deer until he noticed how shocked & guilt-stricken they were. However fortunately both Rhea & Demitri gave Claude their sympathy and vowed to aid Claude in taking that old monster Lundgren down for this. But unfortunately, Edelgard has a very hard job in giving Claude some bad news. Namely that shortly after this incident Lord Lundgren fled his home and is now seeking refuge within the Empire (as he is good friends with Count Varley), so he now has diplomatic immunity. Let’s just say Claude does not take this well as he tries hard not to snap about this as he mocks Edelgard about how considering what the Empire has done to Brigid then sure Lord Lundgren would fit it just fine. However fortunately Macuil & Seteth share an idea with Claude namely that since Lord Lundgren abdicated his territory now Claude can do what he sees fit with it. And if Lord Lundgren dislikes said changes there is nothing that he can do about it without stepping away from the Empire’s protection. This certainly lifts Claude’s spirits as he now intends to use the now former Lundgren territory as a safe haven for Almyrans in Fodlan in which Rhea & Dimitri happily support. Now Claude does apologize to Edelgard for his earlier outburst in which Edie was rather understanding why. But then Claude asks Edelgard to give Lord Lundgren a message about what he intends to do with his former territory and that there is nothing he could do about it… without stepping outside the Empire’s protection in which Edelgard happily accepted the request.

• However certain subplots and side missions may not necessarily vary on the route but more who is on the field. One example would be in a side mission that involves dealing with a horde of Faceless (from FE Fates) within a small area in the Leicester Alliance. In which the head of the Faceless creatures will actually have some limited speech as it claims that Intruders must be destroyed. Most of the heroes would be surprised that this particular Faceless is capable of speaking in which some will surmise that this Faceless was once human and give sympathies before putting it down. However certain folks like Raphael, Ignatz, Valbar and such will recognize the creature’s voice as Raphael & Maya’s late father and are suitably horrified to make such a discovery. One other example would be in a mission with the Kingdom of Faerghus to face a masked assassin with a gang of TWSITD mages. But once the assassin is defeated his mask is removed to reveal… Glenn who has become an undead puppet thanks to TWSITD’s experiments. Needless to say, Demitri, Felix, Rodrigue & Ingrid have the strongest reactions to this reveal for sure.

• While the siege at the Holy Temple will happen in all routes in 2 stages, namely with the Flame Emperor at first. (Though I’m not sure whether to have the villains who would accompany the Flame Emperor either at the Siege at the Holy Temple or the attack at Garreg Mach or both.) But after the Flame Emperor has been driven away, then a second force attacks at the Holy Temple this time the Basilisk make their entrance. While in all of the routes the Basilisk are highly feared & dreaded as our heroes’ steel themselves for battle but in Azure Moon & Silver Snow this becomes a lot more personal. In Azure Moon, Morzas has a big laugh as he recognizes some of the faces here as Marth silently seethes in rage, but this flares up Demitri’s PTSD as he shouts that these are the monsters behind the Tragedy of Duscur. In which Morzas has a merry old-time taunting those who would want to avenge Lambert and/or Glenn among others. In Silver Snow, Rhea, Seteth & his brothers have a score to settle with Basilisk especially Seteth who is barely able to hide his vengeful rage against Morzas. While Rhea & Seteth’s brothers understand why they warn him not to let us Morzas take advantage of his rage since that is something he would do.

Now on a fairly lighter note, I shall now go over the Support System here. While no, not every character can have support chains with everyone, but every character can support with at least someone who stars in each of the routes though. Like for example Demitri can have supports with just about anyone who stars in Azure Moon, but he can support with at least some folks who star in the other routes. I have some other ideas in mind such as…

• There will be a fair share of both romantic and platonic supports while there are of course plenty of potential romantic pairings that one could make. But some romantic pairings will already be pre-made (like Benny & Rinkah for example). Not to mention there are certain romantic connections that could be remade like Virion X Cherche or Virion X Olivia for example. The point is that while various characters can have multiple potential Romantic or Platonic Paired Endings some only get one or few Romantic Paired Endings but plenty of Platonic ones.

• Now that the Fire Emblem franchise has become more & more LGBT friendly (mostly thanks to Three Houses). Various certain characters will get various bisexual options such as Dorothea, Mercedes, Yuri, Niles, etc. While I admit certain characters will probably be strictly Hetero only, but some would be gay only such as Heather (FE Radiant Dawn) and Leon (FE Gaiden/Echoes). While yes, I am very much a Yuri fan but rest assured Yaoi fans I won’t completely forsake you.

• While yes, I do intend on bringing back control over what paired endings one could get with S and A+ Supports. But while IIRC I do recall being told that in SRPG Studio one could have higher support convos be locked until you reached a certain point in a game which I would be OK with. But I’ve been told that one can’t lock a support chain after a certain point but personally I’m fine with that as many were not too fond of that aspect of the Fodlan FE games. Would any particular support convo chains vary by the route? In some cases, yes, but there would only be slight variations. I did consider the idea of having certain characters have such a strong fixation on one character but can only get S Rankings for others only if the character they are fixated on has an S Ranking with someone else. But I’m not entirely sure if that would work.

• One slightly new idea I’m thinking of regarding the support system is that there are various spots as you explore places like Garreg Mach (among others) once a chapter where you can trigger little “Support Scenes”. When they star one character, and you pick the other character that they support with (if you have them at the time) then a little scene will play out and both characters will gain support points afterwards. One example would be this scene where Mercedes is out in the Market and is being approached by Bandits who intend to snatch her, depending on who you pick the circumstances will vary such as… Will save her just in time (Demitri, Dedue) Will try to save Mercedes, but ends up being saved by her (Ignatz, Brady) Tries to be brave to save Mercedes, gets scoffed at until they see Gilbert nearby (Annette) Casually flirts with Mercedes than joins her in easily taking them down (Dorothea, Heather) And things like that though I am thinking of having these “Support Scenes” vary and mainly if not entirely focus on the characters starring in the routes which this would help give the routes a bit more variety.

And last but not least, there are certain aspects that I admit I’m not entirely sure about. I shall go over a few examples.

• While I’m not sure whether to keep the “Anyone can be just about any profession aside from a few exceptions” aspect from 3 Houses. But if not then have the characters be able to at least have one of the professions from each of the regions though. While I don’t think I can keep the Professor Teaching parts from 3 Houses in a SRPG Project. But I do wonder if one could do the Tutors from 3 Hopes or at least the Volunteer mini games to help improve characters rankings. (Or at least if anything else maintain the “Share a Meal” mini game at the cafeteria and/or the little Arena/Mock battles one can do in 3 Houses/Hopes).

• While I am one of those who agree on giving the Flame Emperor a different identity, but the question is… who? My initial ideas were whether to go for a more sympathetic depiction with Edelgard’s father Emperor Ionius or a far less sympathetic depiction with the Mad King Ashnard. I did also consider the idea of having the Flame Emperor be different people depending on which route you are on to mix things up, but I wasn’t sure if that would work or not.

• In both 3 Houses and 3 Hopes there are various NPCs and/or Adversaries (generally among Fodlan Nobility) who do have names but are given generic character portraits. I’m not 100% sure whether to keep them as they are but alter their looks a bit to stand out a bit more. Or to go full Composite Character and replace them with other characters from other series to take their respective roles. (Or do a bit of 50/50 in that regard.)

• As for characters from outside FE or from 3rd Parties I would primarily do it with those who have good histories with Nintendo. (After all the Fodlan games were made by Tecmo/KOEI for example.) But there are questions on how exactly certain 3rd Party representation would go such as have the Robot Masters from the Mega Man series be characters (both good and/or bad) or have their abilities be equip-able weapons and/or Ballista parts. While as for Namco*Bandai, I could do with Namco just fine but as for Bandai either downplay or ignore the franchises they don’t actually own (like Dragon Ball). But maybe work with franchises that Bandai does directly own though.

While I do realize that this basic concept can work on other Fire Emblem games as a base whether it be singular ones such as Engage or in certain sub-series’ such as the Archanea Trilogy (the 1st 3 games). Since I initially came up with this idea for 3 Houses this is what I’m going with here. (Besides the Fodlan games do lend to this concept a bit more easily thanks to the Steam/Cyber Punk antics from TWSITD and how it’s a bit more openly Multi-Ethnic than other FE Sub-series’ can be.)

2. Multi-Crossover Fusion Fics based on One Particular Company

Now, unlike the previous idea mentioned this will be considerably less complex to explain. These games would basically be Fusion Fics of many of the franchises of one particular company like Nintendo, Capcom, Sega, SNK, Konami and such. But characters that will appear and which franchises will be represented will depend on the game and it will be in 3 tiers.

Tier One- All or Most of the Franchises that the company owns & uses- Will make for most of the Playable/Enemy and NPC Characters many of them prominent. Some of the more prominent lands will be used as the main setting.

Tier Two- Franchises whom the company have done crossovers for and/or licensed games with, namely have had good relationships with but do not own- Will probably get playable/enemy characters and some may be prominent. But if anything, else, will probably get NPC representation for sure. Maybe one or two lands might appear but there is no guarantee.

Tier Three- Franchises whom the company has mild connections with, games that the company has published at least once. – Will have at least 1 or few playable/enemy characters to at least a few cameo NPCs at the most. Would basically be cameo fodder at best to mere references at least.

While franchises in Tier One would most likely be represented as a whole, franchises in the latter two tiers would only feature certain sub-series’. Like Fire Emblem for example, while the franchise as a whole would easily be a 1st Tier for Nintendo. But in a Tecmo*KOEI one FE 3 Houses/3 Hopes would definitely be 2nd tier while the FE Archanea Trilogy/Awakening/Fates/Blazing Blade might be 2nd or 3rd tier (thanks to the original Fire Emblem Warriors). But unlike the aforementioned FE 3 Houses idea these games would be standalone when it comes to story. Though I admit when it comes to merged/acquired companies such as Square Enix-Taito, Konami-Hudson, and the like I’m not 100% to keep them all together or give them separate games. However, one way to give them a bit more variety in playthroughs is the Support System in which in this case I’m thinking of bringing back the Child Unit/2nd Gen system. In which I have ideas on the matter such as…

• Unlike FE Awakening/Fates all of the Male & Female 1st Gen characters here are tied to at least 2nd Gen one. In fact, each 1st Gen character can be tied to 1 to 5 2nd Gen characters so in other words depending on the pairing can lead up to 2 to 10 children at a time.

• Now as for how I would incorporate the 2nd gens in the stories I’m thinking either by Awakening and have them be “Children from the Future”. Or go back even further with the Genealogy series and have them be starring in a time skip years in the future. While I was initially leaning towards option two but I’m not 100% sure on the logistics so I may go with Option #1 though.

• However, if I do go with the Time-skip option, I am considering the idea of having certain younger 1st Gen units have their supports be more platonic during the 1st Gen era but can get romantic supports now that they are older during the 2nd gen era. But I am not 100% certain how that would work though.

• Alright I admit that out of gameplay necessity I may downplay any sort of LGBT action among any 1st gen playable characters (but rest assured I won’t outright remove it). Now as for 2nd Gens I do however realize that I can have them be as LGBT as I want.

• I admit I am partially considering the idea of having certain 2nd gen units be NPCs particularly if they are younger ones as they can appear in their sibling’s supports and/or have other NPC roles.

• Though as for the 1st Gen characters, unlike the recent FE games I will not be going by “Avatars” so in other words I won’t be having certain characters be only able to pair up with one character.

But yes, like I said above I would not be giving these games “Avatars” but I will however make the characters be much more of an “Ensemble Cast” (as I am fairly fond of that concept in my writing). But I am however considering the idea of giving each game a certain “Hub” area like Garreg Mach in FE 3 Houses, the Somniel in FE Engage, etc. While including characters from Multiple Franchises an appearance may seem highly overwhelming, but rest assured not all of them will be playable or as Adversaries. There will also be various characters who will be NPCs whether they be major to minor story roles to various villagers, shopkeepers, blacksmiths, soldiers, and various others.

New Pokemon Puzzle League- A lot has changed with the Pokemon franchise since I started this over a decade ago. (In which it has gone to the point where Ash has been finally retired as series protagonist after so long.) But then again Misty & Brock have made their reappearances over time and this fic series was more about the Gen 1 cast to begin with.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Ciphers of Valentia- When I first started this I have only played the remakes of the 1st two games in the series (Shadow Dragon, Echoes SoV) and only mildly familiar with the rest. But ever since I played Fire Emblem Awakening and got more & more into the franchise I was getting a lot more ideas for FE stories that I wasn't sure whether to put into this series or not.

Now as for the other categories in my gallery they are either technically not a "Series" per say like How it should've Begun or were actually complete such as The Breakfast Club Alternate Version. Now rest assured I could still do other things such as little deleted scenes & song parodies that I often do every now & then and other such things. But perhaps I shall now talk about the one series of mine that I did revisit recently namely my Epic Rap Battle Series.

Some might recall that a few years ago I announced that I was going to end my series after it reached 100 episodes (in which the episode count is currently now at 94). In which after when I end my ERBoH series I would do a new ERB series in style of the TV series "Drop the Mic". Have my plans changed? Yes and no, I still intend on doing the former but I'm not so sure on the latter. (Kind of lost my motivation after "Drop the Mic" ended after 2019. Though yes I'm well aware that it was most likely due to the Pandemic.) But I do intend on getting to my 100th ERB Rap Battle goal by this year's end then end it from there. Sure this may seem like a lofty goal since from 2020 to 2022 I've only done 1 of them at the end of the year but this will be different. How so you ask? Simple, my ERB series turns 10 years old this year so I figured this would be motivation enough to keep it going for more than once a year this time. While I may still have some Writer's Block issues to deal with I have been getting better at fixing things up in my room so I can be a bit more productive.

So these are my latest fanfic plans so far, what do you folks think?

Well folks we just recently got ourselves into a New Year as you may have realized. I have heard that one way to improve your chances in fulfilling New Years resolutions is to come up with a more specific goal than coming up with a generalized basic idea. So here are some ideas I have come up with...

Work on my Writing

What do I mean by this exactly? Well I will tell you namely...

1. Actually do more with my Epic Rap Battle series in which I admit I'm aware of how ever since 2020 my ERBs have been fairly scarce and I've said before how I would stop that. However one thing that would give me a bit more of a reason to motivate me this time is due to how this year is the 10 year Anniversary of my ERB series. In which I admit I was going to do an ERB battle in December of 2022. But since this ERB will involve Celica from Fire Emblem Gaiden/Echoes and Fire Emblem Engage is coming soon I figured I would hold off on that ERB for now.

2. Finish this Super Mario Odyssey fic that I was working on a while ago called "A tour of New Donk City" that I released a preview of a while back. And maybe even do a Voice Acted production of it and my previous Super Mario Odyssey fics when I can in light of the fact that the Super Mario Bros Movie will be coming in at April.

3. Get back to any of the fic series' that I was working on before namely at least a new installment of Neo Geo Saga and/or Takahashi Trifecta. In which I would do more than that if I could but I would at least settle for those for sure.

4. Last but not least get back to doing story ideas like what I've done for a Dead Rising 1 RPG Game idea that I've shared. In which I have realized that even if my story ideas are not exactly complete I should still share them nevertheless.

Figure out on how to create a Visual Novel

I have in the past tried to figure out how to use Tuesday JS Visual Novel Engine via Steam. While I did figure out some of the basics but I wasn't sure if I could be able to upload a pre-made audio mix (such as for example from one of the previous episodes of my Crazy Plot Twist Theater Street Fighter.) Or if I would have to rebuild the project's audio mix from the ground up, I never got an answer either way. But I understand if I do have to build the audio mix from the ground up but this would more go for a new project than reworking on a previous one. In which I would need to work on this in order to work on my recent VA projects such as for Final Fantasy 7 Deleted Scenes and Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Team Endings and such. Fortunately I do know how to use XNALara and I've fairly been able to figure out how to make models for VRoid namely for characters that don't already have .xps models online. Also rest assured I'm aware that even if Tuesday JS Visual Novel Engine is just not that good I do realize there are other free Visual Novel engines out there that I can potentially use.

Try to come up with Game Ideas that I can do via Steam

I have various versions of RPG Maker on Steam and a few of the console versions (namely for the Playstation 1 & 2 and 3DS). Along with Pixel Game Maker and SRPG Studio for Steam as well. As for RPG Maker I figure that if I do have an idea for a project I will most likely go for the PC versions so I won't have to worry about system limitations all that much. I do have a couple of ideas for SRPG Studio (that I admit I have yet to fully write down but I soon will). However there is the aforementioned Dead Rising 1 RPG Game Idea that I shared last October but I admit I'm still on the fence on whether it shall be for RPG Maker or Pixel Game Maker.

Try to see if I can improve my Drawing skills

I will admit right now that unlike the aforementioned ideas this will be a lower priority. But for a time I figured that when it comes to drawing I can do things like backgrounds and objects decently enough but I've had a hard time in drawing characters. One example of this would be this little piece I did back in '06 at...

Even looking at it now I do think that the background turned out OK but Mario, DK & Pauline turned out rather... crude to put it mildly. But recently I have learned that one way how to draw characters is to draw a model of the character in first then put the character's design in afterwards. Seems a bit complicated but if it does help in designing characters via either pencil or by mouse like this attempt at Mario that I did more recently in Piskelapp at...

Granted while I can use programs such as XNALara and Vroid studio for my projects but if this little epiphany can help me with my drawing skills then I might as well take it.

And there you have it folks, yes this may not be a particularly long list but I trying to go for more specific goals for this new year. Also there is a slight possibility I may actually move a little later on this year but its far too soon to tell whether it actually will happen or not. So what do you folks think?

Well folks in honor of One Piece's recent comeback on AS Toonami I do have a fic idea I wanted to share namely...

NAMI VS. BOA HANCOCK!

One day Nami was found and approached by Boa Hancock in Boa attacks Nami and wants to fight her. While Nami does get herself ready for battle she would like to know why Boa is attacking her in which Boa deems Nami to be her romantic rival for Luffy's love. Then Nami stops her battle stance as she is baffled by Boa's reason in which she tries to assure Boa that this is not true at all. While yes Nami and Luffy do have some good memories together, but she insists Boa that her relationship with Luffy is strictly platonic.

However, Boa was not willing to believe Nami at all at first as she blames Nami & Robin for being a reason why Luffy constantly ignores her advances. Nami doubts that is the least bit true but then tells Boa that everyone in the Straw Hats is strictly platonic with each other. Now Boa is skeptical on how Nami & Robin would be in a ship full of men and not get it on with any of them at all. Nami insists that it’s not like that at all (but does recall all the times Sanji would want to, not that Nami or Robin give him the time of day). Nami is still a bit puzzled and asks Boa if she is a little too old for a kid like Luffy. This gets Boa incredibly offended as she denies this and insists that Luffy is not a child but a young man. So, this gets Boa to call Nami her romantic rival in which Nami gets increasingly frustrated that Boa would not listen to her at all.

But then Nami suddenly has a devious smile on her face as she tries a new plan and seduces Boa. While Boa was a bit surprised by this as Nami gleefully tells Boa that Tall, Dark & Shapely has always been quite a turn-on to her. Boa gets a little flustered as she tries to call Nami on her bluff but then Nami gleefully points out how else does she remain so platonic with a bunch of guys as she feels up Boa’s body. Now this gets Boa thinking on how this is not the first time her beauty has given her female admirers but now she is a bit conflicted. On one hand this could help make sure that Nami doesn’t become a romantic rival for Luffy but on the other hand she then remembers that she should focus on her one true love Luffy. So, this gets Boa to retreat as she claims that she will deal with Nami later. Now Nami has a slightly smug look on her face until one of the other Straw-Hats show up behind her…

[Roronoa Zoro] Nami gets rather startled by finding Roronoa there as she demands to him that he keeps quite quiet about this incident. While Roronoa bluntly tells her that he really doesn’t care at all, Nami gets angrier and demands that he promises to keep this a secret. Now Roronoa starts to get a little annoyed until he starts to get a smug smile on his face. Then Roronoa asks Nami why she wants this to be kept a secret so badly and asks if she is cheating on Robin, in which Nami glares at Roronoa with a twitch in her eye as he still has that smug smile on his face.

[Usopp] Nami gets a little startled when she hears Usopp “Ah-hah! I knew it!”. In which Nami demands an explanation from Usopp in which he figures that this little incident with Boa is proof that Nami is into the ladies. Then Usopp tells Nami than when he writes letters to Kaya, he would bring up how close Nami & Robin can be, now a rather annoyed Nami asks Usopp why he would write such a thing. Now a rather nervous Usopp explains that he wanted to make sure that Kaya didn’t worry since he would be often with young ladies like Nami & Robin all the time. But since this seems to be true then Usopp figures that this would be no foul then. This gets Nami to roll her eyes in annoyance as she tells Usopp to be a little bit more careful on what he writes.

[Nico Robin] Robin places one of her hands on Nami’s right shoulder as a rather blushing and panicky Nami tells Robin that this is totally not what it looks like, honest! But rest assured Robin is more amused as she playfully teases Nami on she knows very well how Nami is fond of “Tall, Dark & Shapely”. In which Robin seductively holds Nami with her hands as she wonders if Nami would want to have a good time with her and Ms. Boa Hancock in which Nami was a little too flustered to deny. But then Robin tells Nami that she was just kidding about having a threesome with Boa but offers Nami to spend some time with her at a hot spring in which Nami gladly accepts.

[Sanji] Sanji is well… too busy nosebleeding at what he just saw and is barely conscious. At first Nami wasn’t sure if she should try to say anything to him but then she realizes that if she tries to deny having any actual attraction to Boa then Sanji would think he still has a chance with her. So Nami figured it would be for the best to just ignore him and go as Sanji is still stuck in his lewd thoughts.

[Brook] Like Sanji, Brook was busy enjoying this little Boa incident. However, in this case Nami demands Brook to not tell anyone about this incident in which Brook happily accepts her demands as he goes on his way. While Nami is entirely sure if she should find Brook trustworthy meanwhile Brook is more thinking that this would be a great time for him to go polish his lower bones.

Okay yeah this is rather similar to a One Piece fic I did a few years ago called “Who will save Robin from Aokiji?” but this time I kept the branching part to the end this time. Still, what do you folks think?

I would recommend reading these episodes before looking here (but I particularly recommend checking Episode 8). While I admit I have done something like this before in my scraps section but this time I thought I go by Journal. Anyways...

(Note: All of these story ideas take place before the series actually began so in other words Ranma & Genma are still living with the Tendo family at the Tendo home.)

AKANE TENDO VS. UKYO KUONJI!

This happens not too long after when Ranma & Akanes engagement was called off so Ranma & Ukyo have been dating in which everyone in the Tendo household is okay with this (except for Genma). One afternoon at Ukyo’s restaurant/home Akane was having a little chat with Ukyo about how she is glad that this whole silly “engagement” business is over with so she can focus on being a Martial Artist as she will one day inherit the Tendo “Anything Goes” Martial Arts Dojo. Ukyo tells Akane how she can understand as she too is a Martial Artist in which she reminds Akane that she can use her skills & tools as an Okonomiyaki chef particularly her large spatula. Akane argues that fighting with cooking utensils is a cute trick but is no substitute for the pure martial arts prowess that she has. In which Akane also argues that if Ukyo lost her big spatula then what would she do? Ukyo calmly replies that she still has plenty of Mini-Spatulas, her condiments, her batter and she can potentially use other nearby objects to her advantage. And if she ran out of supplies and there were no other objects nearby she can use her fine legs to knock her opponent down. In which Akane gets the idea of challenging Ukyo to a battle at the Tendo Dojo tomorrow afternoon to see who's fighting style is superior. After all, why should the boys have all the fun when it comes to fights? Ukyo eagerly accepts this friendly challenge in which she soon tells Ranma about this in which he is slightly surprised but is rather confident that Ukyo can handle that tomboy runt easily.

Akane finds Ryoga on the street while she is on her way home and takes him home with her. When Akane gets home with Ryoga she announces to him and her family that she challenged Ukyo to a duel at the Tendo Dojo tomorrow afternoon. Soun was a rather bit concerned about this and wonders if it's really a good idea to challenge people to fights like this. Akane insists that not only is this a friendly duel but she is a dedicated martial artist while Ukyo is more of a cook and Ranma’s girlfriend than anything else so she feels certain that she can win this easily. Ryoga tries to reason with Akane that she shouldn’t be overconfident since it can make even the best of fighters lose battles. Akane did calm down & agreed that Ryoga had a valid point and asked him to train her for the match tomorrow in which he eagerly agrees. While Nabiki initially teased Akane in thinking that this match was Akane’s attempt to get Ranma back in which Akane vehemently denied. But then Nabiki has an epiphany that if Akane wins the match then it would be good for the Tendo Dojo but if Ukyo wins then it would be good for her restaurant. So either way someone would considerably profit from this match in which Nabiki finds this to be rather impressive.

Meanwhile at the next day during school the news about this spread like wildfire as Shinobu Miyake is a bit surprised & concerned that Akane is challenging Ukyo to a fight. Akane reassures Shinobu that while she has no real ill will towards Ukyo but wants to prove that relying on gimmicks like cooking utensils are no match for real Martial Arts Prowess but also tells Shinobu that Ryoga did help her train last night in which does give some Shinobu some relief. Meanwhile Nabiki approaches Tatewaki Kuno & Shuutaro Mendo about Akane & Ukyo’s upcoming match and asks them who they will be betting on. Kuno of course is immediately eager to bet on Akane and is highly confident that Akane will win as Akane is a dedicated Martial Artist while Ukyo is but a Okonomiyaki cook. Mendo however takes a slightly more moderate stance and agrees that while Akane is indeed talented but that does not mean that Ukyo should be counted out. While Kuno was initially offended by this notion Mendo then tells him that this could be a good chance for him to try to ask Akane to help her get ready for this match. In which Nabiki gleefully tells them that Ryoga has beat him to it as he was helping Akane train last night in which an annoyed & dejected Kuno says that he will at least be in the audience. Then a little later on at school as Akane runs into Ranma & Ukyo out in the halls.

Akane: Hey there Ranma, don’t worry I promise not to beat up your precious Ucchan too much.

Ranma: Oh really?

Akane: Yeah I happen to be quite the Martial Artist in my own right while your precious Ucchan is some Fast Food cook gee I wonder who is going to win this match huh? But seriously Ranma don’t you dare come after me when I win. After all, you always want to come to your Ucchan’s rescue every time something remotely bad happens to her.

Ranma: Please, my dear Ucchan can easily handle a little uncute tomboy runt like you.

Ukyo: Oh Ranma Honey isn’t it so adorable when small children like Akane try to act so tough?

Ranma: Normally I would agree with you Ucchan but isn’t Akane getting a little too old to act like some Grade Schooler?

Akane: Small Child?! Who are you two calling a Grade Schooler?!

Ukyo: Hush little Akane-chan, Mommy & Daddy are talking here.

Ranma: AHAHAHAHA! Oh good one Ucchan!

Akane: Grrr…

Ranma: Say Ucchan I think I know why Akane is acting so confident.

Ukyo: Oh really Ranma Honey, why so?

Ranma: Well Akane’s body is clearly smaller than yours so she is probably thinking that she would have the speed advantage here.

Akane (eyes twitching, teeth gritting): Why you…

Ukyo: That does sound rather likely to be Ranma honey so thanks for the tip there. But I’m not exactly slow either as I can be rather swift with my hands, you of all people would know that Ranma honey. ;)

Ranma: Indeed I do.

Akane: Oh yes I can be fast but I plan to show how hard I can hit, especially when I get angry! You of all people would know that “Ranma Honey”.

Ranma: Indeed I do, and you wonder why I prefer Ucchan over you.

Akane: Grrr… ANYWAYS! I happen to be taking this upcoming match very seriously. I even got Ryoga to help me train last night!

Ranma: Ah I was wondering where all that grunting and panting was coming from last night. Oh Ucchan you can only imagine how long those two were going at it last night.

Ukyo: Oooh sounds scandalous.

Akane: Hey! Ryoga and I were just… grappling each-other a lot last night, that’s all!

Ranma: Really? Darn and here I thought you finally got around to riding his pork sausage last night.

Akane (face has gone beat red): SHUT UP RANMA!

Ranma: Oops I think I said too much, and here I was hoping that we could double-date with those two after this match is over huh Ucchan?

Ukyo: Oh that would’ve been lovely there Ranma Honey.

Akane (as she is leaving): Shut it you two! I’ll be the one who will win this match, you’ll see! You’ll see!

Then later on that afternoon the match was about to start and Genma agreed to help with hyping up the match in which he tried to market it as “Akane Vs. Ukyo! Who will win Ranma?”. In which both girls and Ranma immediately shot that part down and Ranma promptly smacked his father for that. Meanwhile at the Tendo Dojo Ranma encounters Ryoga and does some of his usual taunting until Akane gets angry but Ukyo tells them all to calm down and reminds Ranma that this event is about her and Akane and the boys get to watch from the sidelines for once.Shinobu arrived to cheer on Akane and Tatewaki Kuno was about to tell Akane that as well until he noticed Ryoga then Mendo had to restrain him and convince him not to ruin Akane’s event here. While many of the folks in the audience genuinely were there to root for Akane or Ukyo (or both) some had ulterior motives like Shampoo. In which Shampoo is rooting for Akane to hope that she would cripple her romantic rival Ukyo. Meanwhile Nabiki is at the audience taking bets on who would win Ukyo or Akane, until her dear father Soun was right behind her and convinced her to shut this little operation down. Kasumi is the ring girl for this match as Soun is the announcer and then the match starts. Now before the match really begins Akane tries her hand again at trash talk.

Akane: Oh Ukyo it's a little surprising that you are also a fighter. I mean I am a dedicated martial artist while you spend most of your time being a Okonomiyaki chef and being that jerk Ranma’s arm-candy. But I guess with your looks it's only natural after all… *ahem*

[Then Akane tries to grab her breasts to push them up and make them look like she has more cleavage.]

Akane: Oh Ranma-honey here let me just flaunt my body for you since you're such a perverted jerk and all. So go ahead and be my boy-toy and brag about how busty I am while you one day mooch off my restaurant’s profits since I actually have some job skills. Don’t I have such a wonderful taste in men?

[However, while Ranma appears slightly annoyed Ukyo remains perfectly calm.]

Ukyo: Wow Akane you are working really hard to get them up like that. But ever heard of the phrase “work smarter not harder”? I mean you could’ve just got a push-up bra, but hey at least I don’t have to worry about that right Ranma-Honey?

Ranma (smug smile) : True.

Ukyo: Oh and you say I can be rather affectionate to my dear Ranma? I suppose that is true, but oh Akane sweetie it's called having a boyfriend, you should try it sometime. But don’t worry I’m sure Ryoga would be happy to oblige.

[Meanwhile in the audience.]

Ryoga (red-faced & flustered): Eh… not sure if I should comment.

Kuno (thinking): Curses! Oh Miss Ukyo it's bad enough that you dare insult my dear Akane but couldn’t you have at least included me in that taunt?

[Back to the ring]

Akane: Yeah well at least I’m not so male-dependent like you are! Like I said before I am a dedicated Martial Artist and I happen to be a strong independent young woman who doesn’t need a man around!

Ukyo: Really? That’s odd, after when you set up this match, Ranma and I were just going about our day as we normally would. While earlier today you were bragging about how you and did a lot of training with Ryoga last night as you two had some alone time together. Now remind me who is the male-dependent one again?

Akane: AUGH! THAT’S IT! This is supposed to be a fight! I didn’t come here to be insulted! Now fight me! FIGHT ME!

Ukyo: Darn and we were having such a good banter too, you know the banter that you started. Oh well. Oh Akane normally I am against spanking small children like you but this spatula would make a good paddle.

Akane (as she charges at Ukyo): RAH! I AM NOT SMAAAAAAAAALL!

Then the battle begins in which Akane charges at Ukyo in a blind rage in which Ukyo was able to dodge gracefully. And then Ukyo kept tripping Akane a couple of times then Ukyo started to paddle Akane’s little booty with her spatula in which it became rather clear that Ukyo is basically toying with Akane. Akane really started to get fed up with this as she lunged at Ukyo trying to do a mighty chop in which Ukyo blocked in time with her spatula then she quickly turned around to get behind Akane and whacked her with her spatula and knocked her into the ropes. Soun & Ryoga were starting to look nervous as Ranma was having a cocky grin as Ukyo strikes a pose for the crowd. But then Ukyo noticed that Akane leapt into the air but before Ukyo could react Akane pinned her into the floor grabbing her arms. Ranma was slightly surprised to see this as Ryoga, Kuno. Shinobu & Soun try to cheer her on. Akane is now suddenly feeling very confident since she brags on how there is nothing that Ukyo can do now. But Ukyo remains calm & undeterred as she feels confident that she still has a trick or two up her sleeve such as reminding Akane that her arms are not completely pinned down. Akane was initially confused until she quickly noticed that Ukyo was tickling her which is making Akane laugh a lot eventually letting Ukyo go. But then Ukyo quickly got up and poured some Okonomiyaki sauce all over Akane in which she demanded an explanation why but Ukyo coyly tells her she has her reasons. Then Ukyo was ready to finish this match by getting her Okonomiyaki batter set and then Ukyo flinged it right at Akane in which Akane felt stuck in the batter. While Akane struggled a lot to get out of the batter but despite all her efforts it wasn’t long until she basically got tuckered out in which Ukyo was declared the winner to the audience’s applause (especially from Ranma).

Shortly after the match after Akane gets cleaned up and changed into a new set of clothes she and Ryoga approach Ranma & Ukyo. Ranma was bragging about how awesome Ukyo was during that battle in which Ryoga angrily proclaims that the battle wasn’t even legit. After all Akane fought bravely and honorably while Ukyo kept relying on tricks and finished Akane by getting her covered in glop. Kuno and Akane back him up on this (even the former claims that he normally would not do so for that “Bandanna-wearing Vagabond”). Namely how Ukyo had a lot more advantages and that Akane would’ve won easily if Ukyo was unarmed too. Then Ranma demanded that they all shut up and called their whiny complaints absurd, After all Ranma was once trapped in Ukyo’s batter before and he was able to get out just fine but then Ryoga and Akane called Ranma out on how of course he could since he is so strong. While Ranma begrudgingly admitted to that but then he went on a little rant on how Akane is supposed to be a “Anything Goes” Martial Artist. And in the “Anything Goes” style you are supposed to be resourceful & pragmatic and willing to adapt so it should not matter how your opponent fights. After all, Ranma normally fights unarmed and has faced opponents with various weapons so why should Akane be treated any differently? Ranma also pointed out how Ukyo only used a portion of her tools during the fight and even then only about twice and if Ukyo really wanted to use her tools she could’ve done a lot more. Then Ranma calls Akane out on that for all of her talk about how she is such a “Dedicated Martial Arts' ' her skills are basically above average at best. Now Akane has her head down in shame as Ryoga and Kuno glare at him in which Ukyo does feel slightly bad about this. So Ukyo smiles and gives her hand to Akane congratulating her for a match well fought as it was fun While Akane was initially surprised then she smiled and shook Ukyo’s hand and deemed her to be a worthy opponent as the match was indeed fun. Then Akane calmed Ryoga down telling her that it is okay and admits that this time Ranma is not wrong but does thank him for helping her train last night. Then Kuno grumbles in annoyance thinking about why he is being ignored.

Then Shinobu came in to give Akane some moral support as Akane tells her that everything is fine now as she and Ukyo are now all smiles. However Akane does tell Ukyo that she wants to have a rematch sometime in the future and would be a lot more prepared next time and then joked on how she has got to get Ukyo to pay for her ruining a perfectly good Gi. In which a slightly amused Ukyo was glad to accept. Soun and Genma were nearby as Soun feels a sense of pride on how Akane & Ukyo can show such good sportsmanship in which Genma commented on how those boys Ranma & Ryoga can learn a thing or two from the girls especially Ranma. Meanwhile Shampoo is nearby grumbling in disappointment and annoyance how Akane should’ve come to her to try to get help in taking down Ukyo and would’ve made sure that Akane would win. In which Mousse was next to Shampoo thinking that it's very easy to see why Akane did not see her. Meanwhile outside Ranma & Ukyo have a little moment together as they chat about a few things such as how Ukyo tells Ranma about the Kuonji Okonomiyaki Fighting Arts.

Ukyo: Well Ranma-honey as you know my family’s fighting style is the Kuonji Okonomiyaki Fighting Arts which are set in the style of the Shinobi, or in my case the Kunoichi. Oh Ranma-Honey I’m starting to wonder if I could be the Mai Shiranui of Okonomiyaki.

(Then Ukyo flips one of her mini-spatulas in the air then catches it while doing a Shiranui “Breast Bounce” pose.)

Ukyo: Japan’s best!

Ranma: Indeed eh what I mean is well you certainly seem qualified for that.

Ukyo: Thank you, so does this mean you will be Andy Bogard to my Mai Shiranui then Ranma-honey?

Ranma: I most certainly would not.

Ukyo: Wait what?

Ranma: Andy was a self-important tool who valued training more than anything else and would constantly ignore & neglect Mai. Andy and Mai are probably one of the most notorious cases of “Remember Ladies your one true love is the guy who almost always ignores you”. Trust me Ucchan I fully intend to be way better boyfriend material than Andy ever was.

Ukyo: Oh that's right I almost forgot how Andy and Mai have been in the King of Fighters games over the years, kind of sad really. I guess I was more thinking of how they were in the original Fatal Fury anime movie from back then.

Ranma: Okay I guess I will give you that, but still, now to be the Terry Bogard to your Blue Mary on the other hand that I would be happy to do.

Ukyo: *heh heh* Okay! That does sound nice.

Ranma: Indeed, say Ucchan the sun is about to set, let's spend a little time watching it together.

Ukyo: Aw that is so romantic Ranma-honey, I would love that.

Then the two embrace as Akane was nearby watching them with Ryoga next to her in which Ryoga sheepishly asks Akane if she wants to watch the sunset too in which Akane did accept.

This story is initially set in the present at Maison Ikkoku where Ranma & Ukyo sit Kentaro down and tell him about their first Christmas together with a little help from Akane. As this flashback story is set in the previous year before the Saotomes & Tendos moved to Maison Ikkoku it starts with Akane doing some window shopping with Ryoga nearby. Then Ranma and Ukyo were walking nearby having a good time until Ranma accidentally bumped into Mousse in which he dropped a present that he was holding and then it almost immediately destroyed. Then Mousse attacks Ranma in a rage as that present was meant for Shampoo, sure both Ranma & Ukyo try to explain to him that it was an accident but Mousse would not listen. After Ranma knocks Mousse out with a jump kick he starts to get an idea. Ranma looks at Ukyo and tells her that this will be their first Christmas together in which Ukyo is looking forward to that. But then Ranma tells Ukyo that he has something special in mind for her but he will have to be away for a little while and tells her that he will be back. Ukyo was a bit surprised & curious about what is this “special something” as she explains what happened to Akane. Then moments later Shampoo & Kodachi, self-proclaimed romantic rivals of Ukyo for Ranma, show up to brag how they are looking for Ranma as they plan to spend Christmas with him. Ukyo tells them to not bother since Ranma is spending Christmas with her in which Shampoo taunts her on why isn’t Ranma with her right now then? Ukyo then calmly tells her that Ranma has left to go give her something special in which this annoys both Shampoo & Kodachi. Then Akane comes in and backs up Ukyo telling Shampoo & Kodachi to take a hint and leave Ranma alone. While Ukyo appreciates Akane’s help but she still tells her that she doesn’t need any help against those two. Akane’s response was how she wouldn’t allow such a 2 against 1 battle to happen and she would have personal reasons to want to face them too. But then Shampoo & Kodachi reminded Akane & Ukyo that they are not working together and then left the scene.

A little later on that day Akane arrives at the Cat Cafe to have a little chat with Shampoo over why she still keeps pursuing Ranma even though he is with Ukyo. Shampoo still insists that the fact that Ranma & Akane were engaged at one point justifies her goal for Ranma. Though Shampoo adds in a little something that will surprise Akane…

Shampoo: But to be honest I miss when you and Ranma were engaged.

Akane: Really? But… but why?

Shampoo: Well you are little like a small child, while I am one of the most voluptuous beauties around.

Akane (gritting her teeth): I am not small.

Shampoo: No interruptions. *ahem* Anyways, I, Shampoo am one of the finest chefs around while you can’t cook anything to save life. Also you and Ranma would often fight like cats & dogs so I figured it would not be hard to get him to like me more than you. But now Ranma with Spatula Girl who he genuinely likes and is a good cook and Spatula Girl is about as se… err.. as shapely as me! It's just not fair.

Akane (deadpan sarcasm): Oh how I feel for you.

In which Akane does call Shampoo out on how she mistreats Mousse and even feels sorry for him. While Shampoo was initially not concerned Akane even points out that Mousse was going to give her a present… until it accidentally got destroyed but still tells Shampoo that she should be more considerate to Mousse. In which Shampoo counters by saying that at least she is honest to Mousse and then calls Akane out on her “Just Friends” relationship with Ryoga. Then Shampoo teases Akane on how nobody buys that she & Ryoga are “Just Friends” and on how since Ryoga is incompetent with directions and Akane is incompetent in recipes that they are so perfect for each-other. While Akane initially demands Shampoo to not talk about Ryoga like that but then Shampoo teases her on how this proves her point. But then Akane fires back on how at least she is nice to Ryoga while Shampoo treats Mousse like dirt. Which this gets Shampoo to point out that she knows who she wants and it's not her fault that “stupid Mousse can’t take a hint”, which causes Akane to roll her eyes thinking that Shampoo is not one to talk. But then Akane gets a devious idea and reminds Shampoo that even if she does deal with Ukyo in her pursuit for Ranma then she would still have to worry about Kodachi. Then Akane suggests that maybe Shampoo should deal with Kodachi first but she worries about Ukyo in which Shampoo admits that is a valid point and does so. Lets just say Akane feels pretty satisfied that this plan worked.

Akane then went over to Ukyo’s restaurant to reassure Ukyo that she dealt with Shampoo and got her to focus on going after Kodachi instead. Ukyo was pleasantly surprised by this and even gave Akane a nice free “meal for 2” coupon that she could use anytime. Though Ukyo admits that she knows it's not much but hopes that it's okay in which Akane is perfectly fine with that. But then Ukyo suggests that Akane could use that for anyone like Shinobu… or Ryoga, which gets Akane to realize she hasn’t got Ryoga a present yet in which Ukyoo suggests that she should go look for one then. Akane agrees and leaves but then she runs into Shinobu in which Shinobu is a little surprised that Akane is going out of her way so much to help Ukyo in which Akane admits she still feels a little guilty about what happened during her first meeting with Ukyo (in episode 8) and wanted to help make things right. Later on that afternoon Ranma shows up at Ukyo’s restaurant surprising her by inviting her over to the Tendo household as he has something special to show her in which she gladly accepts the invitation. Though when Ranma & Ukyo got back they were surprised about how many guests they had for the Tendo’s Christmas Party including the Kuno siblings and the folks at the Cat Cafe. But then a short while later Ranma has Ukyo out in the front yard with a rather large object covered by a cloth.

Ukyo: So Ranma honey what is this “Special Thing” you’ve been telling me about?

Ranma: Well Ucchan remember when we first reunited back when we were about 10?

Ukyo: Yeah I admit I got really angry at you when I felt abandoned when your father left back then and took my family’s cart and left me behind. Then I cried while I told you about how my family went through so many hardships when we lost a lot of business because of that. But then when you hugged me and I noticed you had tears in your eyes I forgave you instantly, oh it was so sweet.

Ranma: Oh yes it did pain me to see you like that so I promised that I will make things right. And today I will fulfill that promise. Now Ucchan takes a little look at this blast from your past. Voila!

(Then Ranma lifts the cover to reveal the old Kuonji Okonomiyaki cart in perfectly fine if a little rustic condition in which everyone especially Ukyo was a bit surprised to see this cart.)

Ukyo: *gasp* Thi… this is my… my fa… family’s old cart.

Ranma: Yep

Ukyo (tearing up): Oh Ranma honey I… I never thought I would see this again. How did you find this?

Ranma: I began trying to do some online shopping for you about last month in which I noticed an ad on an online classified store that someone is selling an old long abandoned okonomiyaki cart that he found recently. Fortunately the seller left an address so I headed over to see the seller in which the guy initially wanted a higher price but after I told him about the story behind that cart he agreed to lower the price. It showed a little wear & tear after being abandoned for so long but I managed to get this back here and now it's yours my dear Ucchan, Merry Christmas.

(Then Ukyo bursts into tears as she hugs Ranma.)

Ukyo: Oh Ranma honey, thank you, thank you so much oh you are so good to me.

Ranma: Your welcome Ucchan, your welcome.

Ukyo (calming down): You know I was originally going to make you one of my finest meals as my Christmas present to you but now if it's not enough. Oh Ranma Honey how can I ever repay you? But don’t worry I can come up with something, such as for example I’ve heard that tonight is going to be pretty cold but don’t worry Ranma-Honey I’ll keep you warm tonight. ;)

Ranma: Hee hee oh rest assured my dear Ucchan I am so looking forward to that.But still trust me Ucchan I would be happy with whatever you want to give me.

Ukyo: Thank you, oh Ranma-Honey I love you.

Ranma: I love you too Ucchan.

(Then Ranma & Ukyo kiss as the others for the most part smile at this romantic moment. The only exceptions were Genma who looks a bit uneasy and Shampoo & Kodachi grumble in annoyance. Certain folks were having some thoughts on the matter and here are a couple of examples.)

Kuno (thinking): Ranma Saotome, who would ever guess that a scoundrel like him could be truly such a knight to his fair maiden Ukyo? *smirks* A pity he is normally such a knave to just about everyone else though.

Genma (thinking): So Ranma my boy you managed to fix one of my mistakes huh? *smirks* Heh, perhaps this is all for the best.

(Then the flashback ends and many of the folks at Maison Ikkoku agree that it was a lovely story particularly Kentaro.)

Kentaro (small tear in his eye): *sniff* Wow Bro you really are the man.

Ukyo: Kentaro are you crying?

Kentaro (slight blush): Uh… maybe.

Ukyo: Aww… Kentaro sweetie it's okay, *then she hugs him* oh you are such a sweet boy.

In which later on that day Ryoga is hanging out with Godai in Godai’s room and Ryoga tells Godai about what else happened that day. Namely when Ryoga got Akane her Christmas present which was some nice cat jewelry that Akane was admiring in the store window earlier that day. While Ryoga did admit that he needed a little financial help from Mr. Tendo at the time he did happily recall how Akane was so happy and hugged him for that present. Then Akane gave Ryoga her present which was a locket with her picture in it in which Ryoga did happily accept. (Though he did start to feel a little uneasy when it was a picture of Akane with P-Chan, in which Akane explains that now Ryoga will know what P-Chan looks like.) Akane then admits that she wasn’t sure what to give him since he spends most of his time traveling but then it gives Akane an idea. Namely that Akane will spend the rest of the Christmas break travelling with Ryoga for a few days starting tomorrow. Needless to say Ryoga was very surprised and flustered but Akane reasoned that she did always want to travel and figured who would be a better travel companion than Ryoga? Akane did ask her father for permission in which Soun is a little uncertain at first but Kasumi & Akane convince him to be okay with this as Akane will help Ryoga with his problem with directions but Soun does give Akane permission (while Akane tries to ignore Nabiki’s teasing). The next day Akane & Ryoga set out on their quest but first they used that “Free Meal for 2” coupon that Akane got and had lunch at Ukyo’s restaurant while they had a little talk with Ukyo, Ranma and Shinobu. (While they both got some mostly good-natured teasing from Ranma.) Ryoga tells Godai on how afterwards they set on their trip which did for the most part go well as they spent a good portion of the trip at Ryoga’s little shack in the woods. Godai was a little surprised about that “shack in the woods” part in which Ryoga just remembered that he wasn’t supposed to say that. In which Ryoga sheepishly admits that Akane doesn’t want him to tell anyone about the shack in fear that they will get teased a lot more about it but Godai calms him down and assures Ryoga that he won’t tell. But still while Ryoga does say that the trip did go well for the most part except for the incident where he accidentally became P-Chan and Akane found him. Ryoga admits to being happy to get cuddled by Akane until she tried to go looking for Ryoga while he is P-Chan. In which Akane did put P-Chan down to call for Ryoga’s name in which he admits he had to make a break for it to turn back into Ryoga. When Ryoga meets up with Akane she is now trying to search for P-Chan. Now Akane is sad that she didn’t get to introduce P-Chan to a rather nervous Ryoga in which he tries to calm her down by telling her it's okay since he still has her locket. So Ryoga reassures Godai that aside from that incident their exploration trip went pretty well. Then Godai had an idea in which maybe they could go on an exploration trip together with Akane & Kozue sometime in the upcoming year. Ryoga is excited all for the idea but Godai calms him and reminds him that they should talk with Akane & Kozue first.

One last idea here (for now) is when the Tendo family are feeling some financial woes as business at the Tendo dojo has not been doing so well. In which both Soun and his three daughters are not quite sure what to do. Nabiki however does point some blame on Ranma & Genma for being a couple of free-loaders who mooch off of them for food & money. Genma does try to deny this but Soun tells everyone to settle down and that we all should try to find ways to help out on the finances. While Akane tries to hand out flyers for the Dojo, Nabiki tries to raise her bribery prices for information to folks like Kuno, Ranma has a little chat with Ukyo about this. Ukyo gets the idea of trying to do a cross-promotion deal with the Tendo Dojo as her restaurant gives out flyers to the Dojo and the Dojo gives new students coupons for her restaurant. (Also Ukyo & Female Ranma would give out flyers for the Dojo and Ukyo’s restaurant while in Playboy Bunny costumes.) Then Ranma gets Ukyo to have a little chat with Soun on going on a cross-promotion deal together in which Soun was happily willing to accept. In which the cross-promotion deal was a fairly decent success for both businesses, which leads to little scenes like this.

In which this cross-promotion deal does work and helps the Tendo Family with their finances… for now. (After all, keep in mind that this series starts with the Tendo & Saotome families moving into Maison Ikkoku at Episode 1.) I will go over what exactly caused the Tendos & Saotomes to move from the Tendo Home (but to have Soun still be able to keep the Tendo Dojo). But still what do you folks think?
