Cactus Field Tasks: Explorers Teams Briefing P1

      "Okay, move out people!" Gavina and some other Explorers followed her, with her same enthusiasm, including a certain Kirlia and Lucario, the former with her nose stuck in a map, the latter busy with his gloves, which he hadn't used in a long time. Once he got that weird feeling of uncomfortableness, he leaned towards Emerald, to try to learn the map in the few seconds he is seeing it, as he didn't study it. 

"Back off Lance! You should've studied it yesterday," said Emerald as she used one hand to grab the whole map, while using her free hand to lightly push Lance away.

       Lance was about to push Emerald too, but before he looked towards Gavina, because he didn't want her to see them goofing off. During the short time that he was distracted, Emerald, who was into the map, she didn't see where she was walking, so she stepped on ground that wasn't there, she was falling. As she screamed, she saw cactus exactly where she was going to land. Emerald snatched the map from the air, not knowing why, she just did. Lance was about to go after her, but someone else beat him. She jumped, catches Emerald and then returns her to the ground, next to Lance.

       As they kept walking, Emerald and Lance introduced themselves, and they learned about Emerald's savior and her companions, Rubellite, a Mr. Mime, and Victoria and Emma, a Jynx and a Kirlia respectively. They decided to stay together, the five of them, to avoid another fall, much to Emerald's embarrassment.  

        "...so we're going to help later, at the barbecue," replies Victoria, brushing her dress after explaining. Emerald was about to ask about her behavior when Gavina shouts, "They're over there!"

       All the teams run towards the lost merchants, which all cheer at seeing all the Explorers coming to help them. All the teams seperate to help a group of merchants, Emerald, Lance, Emma, Victoria and Rubellite group together to help a group. As they talked to the group, Lance's ears twitched as he heard something from behind them. Not long after he heard the noise, a fellow Explorer shouted that something was coming. As they all turned around, they saw Gabite's coming towards them, but Bass, along with a few Explorers, went to counterattack. Lance and Emma were about to bolt to the action, but were stopped by Emerald and Victoria, which both looked at each other, giving the other a sympathetic look. Hopefully Velma and Cassie are having it easier, Emerald thought as she ran along the merchants with their equipment. 

      When they finally stopped at their rest stop in the Cactus Fields, they sighed as they lowered the equipment, except Rubellite, which looked like she didn't break a sweat. "Yes," huffed Emma, "the gritty grape is all mine! I-I mean ours!" Said Emma as her partners looked at her. Emerald finished talking to Gavina, so she returned with the group, and instantly got an idea.

"Hey, why don't we stay and talk during the barbecue!" As Emerald suggested the idea, the rest of them looked at each other, then smiled.

"You know," replied Emma, "we came to the same idea before you came!"
