I smile
'It's okay.'
'Give yourself time to catch your breath,
and come find me when you start to feel okay.
I will have the tea ready.'
So gentle towards you
My heart aches when you aren't okay
I wish I could have been there for you
from the start.

I felt a stream of light
Pouring from the window-I saw it in the particles
That stood still in time:
Everything we are,
Everything we hope to be
Is built with light and shadows,
Dust and imagination.When it combines,
It touches you. Warms you.
And suddenly...
You are.

A sunbeam in the storm
How do I gather my thoughts when my troubled mind is scattered
How do I pick up the pieces once I’m completely shattered
How do I move past what broke my heart, and how is life worth living
When each passing day nay passing moment is so unforgiving?
How do I cast into oblivion a past so very daunting
So ruthless, so relentless, so inevitably haunting
How do I tell myself not to look back? I’ve lost my drive
Fetch me a sunbeam in the storm; help me keep hope alive.
