Literature Text
I have lived in South Africa in a small coastal town most of my life and have moved around a lot within the area.
Literature
Tragic Magic
I felt a stream of light
Pouring from the window-I saw it in the particles
That stood still in time:
Everything we are,
Everything we hope to be
Is built with light and shadows,
Dust and imagination.When it combines,
It touches you. Warms you.
And suddenly...
You are.
Literature
Tempest
The cascading elements of wind and rain brake against the hull,
Trying to take the ship down into the mire below.
I hold fast,
Knowing this storm cannot last –
But it is upon me and I must…
Must…
Must not allow it to tear down my mast.
I must keep and protect my sail,
So, I can prevail against the id and idiom,
The words that the wind bring –
Pounding and surrounding,
Failure…
Lost…
Taken in…
Yes, the last one is true.
I was fooled and fooled again.
I slipped and allowed myself to fall because…
Because…
Because it was nice to believe for a moment that it was true.
But they are a storm,
Not fair weather.
They rage against the hull and sail,
They rage and try and drive me into the cruel rocks that will smash me,
Crush me,
Divide me…
And drive me back into their clutches.
I must resist,
I must hold my course,
If I must, I will lash my sail –
Save what I can for when this storm abates…
And it will abate.
I know the rhythm of it,
It’s uncomfortable but familiar…
Insipid,
But not
Literature
Dreadful grains
When the heart becomes a garden
In which a dreadful grain has spired
Shadows from the angry leaves
That steal the sunlight from the crops
Like a full eclipse darkens every inch
Vines and twigs so slowly crawl
From root to stem to foliage
The mighty oak and pacing fir succumb
Leaving naught but brittle bark behind
Soil once rich and paradisaically fertile
Renders dry and stale and bitter
Casting out the fruit and berries
And merry little flowers
Leaving bees and butterflies to perish
Into rock like ground the soil is turned
Grey and harsh and destitute
As wind and rain into the endless sea
The once abundant substrate
Seeps away as from a fester'd wound
Uproot at once the angry spires
Cast aside the hate and stubborn pride
That spread the seeds of devastation
With fervor laced with love and kindness.

Thank you so much for adding this to the database!
I see you're another one who's had supernatural experiences ^^ Would you consider splitting the information here into two scraps? One for South Africa and one for your experiences with ghosts? It might make it easier for people to find you when they're searching the database.
