Deviation Actions
Sorry for such a long wait you guys. I've had some unexpected things happen this summer and.... well, I won't bore you with details. The important part is that it is time to nominate!
Before I list the categories, please be aware that I am going to be very strict this year about the limit on nominees. You are limited to four nominees. That means that you can only list four people for each category. Any names that surpass the limit will not be counted.
Comment your nominations below!
Best Skin
Skin is arguably the most important aspect of coloring. It is difficult to get that perfect hue. Often times it might be too orange or too tan or too pink but then there are those moments of clarity when you know that you just have it right for you. Out of our list of colorists, who do you think has done the best job with the skin in 2013?
Best Hair
Hair, while not being as difficult as skin, is still a hard and crucial part of coloring. Some choose to smudge their hair, others sharpen it. Some like to make blonde look golden and radiant while others prefer a soft brown. Who do you think has done the best job with hair in 2013?
Best Clothes
The most fun part of the entire coloring experience – you get to become a pseudo-designer. You get to pick the colors and decide which parts of the dress or other piece of clothing you would like to highlight. Who do you think has done the best job with clothes in 2013?
Best Landscape/Background
And of course, in order to bring the entire photo into focus, you must include on of the best backgrounds you possibly can. Many people put the most time and details into the background of their photo. Who do you think has done the best job with backgrounds in 2013?
Most Fearless
How many times have you looked at a picture, observed the subject and the surroundings before laughing and tossing it aside, deciding that there were simply too many details for you to try and handle? Well this award is for those that never seem to shy away from a little extra work to make something truly beautiful and extraordinary in the end.
Most Variety
There is an endless amount of subjects for you to color. For some people, the main niche is royalty, which can sometimes go even further to be just Romanov related. Others simply do old cinema. Who has the greatest range of subjects in their 2013 work portfolio?
Most Realistic
While not every single colorist wants this to be in their work, most do. Making one of these photos look as though they were taken in color in the first place is the mission of many people. Who do you think best exemplifies this quality?
We Miss You
This award is special for the colorists who have touched our hearts time and time again but for various reasons is no longer around deviantArt, or hardly ever visits. Who do you miss?
Best Newcomer
Who shows the most promise and the most improvement? Who are you ready to see more from? *NOTE: This is only for those that are included in the special list of people who began in 2013.
Lifetime Achievement Award
As I've said earlier, we look up to those that come before us and there have been many colorists before and there will be many after. However, which person do you think deserves the Lifetime Achievement Award for their efforts and inspirations of coloring?
Colorist Of 2013
This award is simply for the person who showed that they had all of these categories. But most of all, they showed that they had the most improvement from the first day of 2013 to the last day.

A New Road
Hi everyone,
As you've probably noticed, I've been uploading some drawings lately. Unfortunately I am unable to use my laptop and photoshop at this time so no new colorations will be coming any time soon. However, I' am glad that I get to start working harder at my traditional art and photography. They're both very rewarding.
I hope you continue to enjoy the work that I post, even though it is taking a different route.
All the best,
Kassy
