Does Not Come With A Manual by Poharex Does Not Come With A Manual by Poharex
A quick illustration based on an idea pitched by my friend, Boaming Bino.
A mother Maiasaura who recently lost her clutch to predators took in an orphaned Ceratosaurus hatchling. However, to raise this new child, the giant herbivore was forced to pick up a skill entirely new and unnatural to her kind: hunting.

Thank you very much, Mr. Nixon. It was a nice challenge- haven't drawn a Maiasaura in a while.

Hah. That's actually my art style, just without shading or scale texture applied. Any resemblance to Don Bluth's works is coincidental this time.

Freaky! I once saw a lioness adopt an oryx calf in a documentary, why wouldn't the reverse happen? Weird, right?

I remember a fable by Krylov about a mother deer who adopted orphaned wolf pups, so I guess a herbivore adopting a carnivore is definitely possible. Of course, it's logistically easier when both species are mammals.
