Contest Details

Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to write a TRADITIONAL HAIKU.  For an assortment of information about haiku, go here: www.ahapoetry.com/haiku.htm.&n… to what some may say or think, Haikus are NOT easy to write.  

Haikus:  
5-7-5 syllables; three lines.  No series.
Must be about the natural world.

If you are still unsure as to what a haiku is, do some research.

This contest will be judged by three members:

Cherry blossom trees
Cast delicate pink and white
On the still river

Snow silently falls
building a ghostly cocoon
in the cold, dark night

gold red whispers drift
crisp breath farewells visitors
the earth falls asleep

youre getting weak... japanese poetry is wearing its way through your ageing defences...
but youre right, its very good. i havent read them all yet but 12 impressed me. i might even vote =O

Yeah, I'll admit those two are pretty good, but in my opinion 32 pwns them all.
