Welcome to Poetic Forms, a community where people who want to learn about and write with traditional poetic forms can do so together. It was created by alenia on May 22, 2003.
Form of the Month
The Terza Rima is the form of the month for February 2004. Please read this informative write-up by infiltrator15 www.deviantart.com/deviation/2…
Beginning on February 1st, send links to your newly written terza rima poems by NOTE and they will be added to the journal. This quite possibly will turn into a contest! (Gotta be sure I can offer a decent prize )

Poetic Forms is under new administration: pamelaski Feel free to approach me with concerns, comments, and suggestions. Note me here or send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'd like to get this group active again, with more than one activity, perhaps even a contest if I can siphon some cash for prizes off of my husband. Suggestions for contests or activities? Let me know! This is NOT my group, it is YOURS. Without you, it is nothing.
If you want to do an official write-up on any forms with a specified rhyme scheme, meter, and/or repetition, please note poetic-forms. If you just have information on the forms but don't want to write it up, send a note as well and we will pass the information on to whoever would like to do the write-up. The write-ups will contain a brief history of the form, perhaps an example, and a full description of the rhyme scheme, meter, common themes, etc. All write ups shall be channeled through this page (i.e. the text should be sent in a note here) and from here it will be submitted as a deviation.
Links to helpful information, anyone? Note me with the link and I'll add it.
To join this community, please send a NOTE (as opposed to writing a devious comment) with the subject "Joining". If you have poems in your gallery in a certain poetic form already, please link them in your note and state what type of poem it is.

means member has submitted a write-up, thanks!
In future journals, members will be listed on an separate page and linked from the main journal entry, to provide space for links to poems.
Please! If you are a former staff member under alenia and you wish to remain a staff member currently, please, please note me!
(Somewhere along the line the process of adding member links to the journal faulted. If you are a member and your name isn't on here send a note so we can add you. If you are not a member and your name is on here, send a note saying that as well so you can be removed. Thanks. pamelaski)
