Good Afternoon Pocketeers~!
I am sure a lot of you are awaiting our announcements and wondering what is going on behind the scenes. Past December, we have took a break and slowly but surely started getting things together for the new year. To be honest with you all, the mod team hasn't been doing so hot for the past couple of months. It was a hard hit on most of the team with school, work, and home life. We are very sorry for being slow and having to take this hiatus. As founder, I felt it was very much needed for the time being so the team could recover. Once we were all able to talk and after much discussion, we have decided we will be 'restarting' Pocket completely and starting a new group. Meaning Pocket-Island will be 'closing'.
This may come as a surprise but there is much that we feel doesn't work much for the group anymore and find it hard to change such things with the current structure of the group. The group was never meant to be public with hundreds of members. It has a lot of flaws that we have grown accustomed to and to change it may cause some strife. We understand if some of you are upset with this decision, this was very much a hard one of us to do. But I feel a new group and atmosphere will be a great help.
I want to stress though that although we are moving, the new group will function similarly to Pocket with a few kinks changed. See the new group as Pocket 2.0: the Successor! We understand this is a huge change, but we feel as a team is the best way to go. If you have any concerns, feedback, suggestions, we are all ears! Hopefully in the next coming weeks, we will make an announcement of the new group and you can all watch our progress there! Inventories will still be here and will most likely be an easy move over if you plan to stay. There will be a few adjustments, so do stay tuned if you are sticking around!
Thank you all so much for sticking with Pocket-Island and being interested in this group. This group has grown a wonderful community and we hope to see all of you in Pocket 2.0 (trust me this is not the new name) ! If not, we are glad you stayed for the ride and hope for the best wherever you go!
