Few people know that the reason CISPA, Collins-Lieberman, and the other internet spying legislation went down in flames this year was NOT because of what DemandProgress.org or anyone else on left did, but rather, because of opposition from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce over the cost to American business of meeting the proposed network security standards.
