Twidget 3.0 by Plizzo Twidget 3.0 by Plizzo
Twidget has been updated to work with 3.X now!

I've been working very hard on this project for many months now and I'm so very glad to finally have it released. When I look back at the first version of Twidget I see so many features that could have been incorporated. The first version was really lacking so I really took my time with this one trying to expand it a much as possible and I'm proud to present the newest version now.

This version of Twidget is much better than the last, there is no need to do any manual replacements in the code with this version. The widget now comes bundled together with an iPhone application where you enter your login information. This application was not written by me, but by my good friend Slava Karpenko. I hope you will find this feature as good as I do.

Twidget is no longer available for manual install because it would require too many steps and the use of the terminal to change ownership of certain files, therefore it has been bundled into a Cydia package that is hosted on iSpazio and MacCiti. I believe Cydia is the best way to distrobute this package because it does all theese steps by automation. The new main features are the one finger scroll and the avatars, I'm sure you will find it nice. I recommend using this widget together with the MS Extension "20 second lockscreen" that will make your screen stay awake longer.

I would like to send out a big thanks to theese people for helping me developing Twidget:

Chad Etzel - Chad has been a great resource for me, he helped me with many parts of the main javascript to get the widget working from the start.

Yanik Magnan - Helped me with the server autentication for the first version of Twidget.

iKon - Thanks for being one of my beta testers and for being fast and giving good critique.

Matt Reako - Was also one of my beta testers, thanks for helping out man!

TURN - Also a beta tester, thanks

Adrian Kenny - The last in my gang of beta testers, tested the latest version and the bundled application.

Slava Karpenko - Thanks for developing the Twidget application and for helping me with the widget development.

DryIcons - Usage of the twitter bird icon in the Twidget application.

Dustin - For letting me use the Classica template for the application icon

NOTE: You can get this on Cydia only!

great! but how do I log in?
Plizzo Featured By Owner May 30, 2010  Hobbyist Interface Designer
You install this through Cydia, afterwards you will have an application on SpringBoard entitled "Twidget". Use this application to enter your username and password and after you have saved, it will automaticly log you into Twidget when you are on the lockscreen.

Hey I just wanted to ask you if there is any way to make twidget a fullscreen app. I have the clock hidden with clock hide from cydia so there is a big space at the top. I managed to move twidget up by tweaking your files through an ssh connection but i can not get the bottom to stretch down. Can you help me because i think this twitter lockscreen is visually amazing! :D

Awesome work. I'm still trying to figure out why I can't scroll, maybe it's because of something in OS 3.0?
Plizzo Featured By Owner Jul 15, 2009  Hobbyist Interface Designer
It's due to the LockBackground framework on 3.0, needs updating. I notified saurik of this by request and I'm waiting for him to get back to me.

Well, this should work perfectly for iTouches aswell as long as you are connected to a Wi-Fi net. :)

Thanks everyone for your positive comments, I'm looking into even more stuff and I hope the coming updates will be even better! ;)

Nice. I'd definitly use this if I had an iPhone, but unfortunatly, I have naught but an iPod Touch. Stupid lack of WiFi in college -_-
