A.D.D. Stamp by PleasurelyPainful A.D.D. Stamp by PleasurelyPainful
Why did I make this?

Because I am SO TIRED of
-A.D.D. jokes
-A.D.D. being taken lightly
-People faking A.D.D.

What am I talking about?

EXAMPLES: "It's not that I have A.D.D. it's just-oh look a squirrel!"

"Easily distracted by shiny objects."

Yeah. I used to think they were funny, but now I find them just insulting.

A.D.D. is not funny or like that in any way, shape, or form.

What is A.D.D.?

Well for me it's...

-not getting my mind to clear at anytime
-always having something there all the time
-not being able to sleep right at night
-getting yelled at and feeling stupid for forgetting things

Just a few things I deal with.

And when people say "Oh I am sooo A.D.D. today!"

Yes, I'm so sure -__- You forgetting to text someone makes you so A.D.D. and interferes with your precious social life. (I've experienced this in real-life way too many times.)

Another issue is parents who have a 3-4 year old who is hyper and think they need to be on A.D.D. meds.

Um sorry people, but no.

NEWSFLASH: 3-4 year old's are SUPPOSED to be running around having fun!

So yeah. Just stop people. You're not making anyone laugh.

P.S. No hate comments. Not even bothering with them.

Thank you for this ;^;. I'm so tired of people using A.D.D. as an excuse for their own stupidity, or making stupid jokes out of it, or making fun of me and not understanding that what I do is a condition and not done on purpose.

Like, I had a "friend" poke fun at me all the time when I talked to her because I would often be talking about one thing and then jump the tracks without realizing that I'd even changed the subject. So they would tease me about intentionally acting like I had A.D.D. and not believing me when I told them that I did actually have it.

Yes I know that. I just get tired of hearing it EVERYDAY from random people who have no idea what they're talking about.

Just because there's a difference in people doesn't mean you have the right to treat them bad, joke about what they have. That being said, it's not a fashion trend, people need to grow up and embrace who they are and not some image that would make them, in the eyes of obvious idiots, look "cool"

We must show respect to each other.

Exactly. It's very frustrating to deal with people like that.

I think they're their own disease, and that scientists just don't want to look up the sure because they don't want to deal with these people

Wow, I didn't know that I had A. D. D.
I checked the symptoms online. They were pretty similar to what you said you have. Great! Two reasons to get yelled at by everyone!
Autism AND ADD! aint I just a bundle of fun?!
