I don't talk politics

I want to start off by saying I'm not a political person. Never have been, but the direction of the U.S. and the world for that matter has made it so anyone that isn't on the side with all the money and power are against them, I'll probably turn alot of people off by this, but I'm not on the side of any current establishment. Politics and Religion are the No No conversations you never talk about (at least that's how I was raised), but they're also the two most important conversations we can ever have (how do we want to be governed and what happens after death).

All I want to say is that technology has gone too far, and I'm going my own way and saying we need to start putting the people in our lives first above what we enjoy online. I know what I'm saying isn't revolutionary and that I'm not the next Aristotle, but can you seriously say that the easier life gets, the better? I think the entire 20th century says otherwise, and the political factions  that arose in the 20th century to conform to the changes have been a disaster for mankind.

Humanity has not yet adapted to the change of environment that turned farmers into office workers, playing children into desk chained test takers, and living into merely existing.

We work less hard, buy nicer things, we get better standards of life, and at the expense of what? Nothing? Seriously ask yourself that when you get the time.

Is safety really more important than Liberty when all you do is throw your life at a screen? I don't want to sound like some ANPRIM, but when will enough be enough? When someone else across the globe controls and dictates your every movement? How about when that jobs given to an AI, and all autonomy you have is gone?

I mentioned safety, one of our basic human instincts. I'm not against safety, but neither am I in favor of the "establishment" definition of safety where they say "you're life is in our hands, do as we say or there will be consequences."

We been on this planet for thousands of years. Fought the elements, explored untamed wilderness, fought amongst each other. Heros emerged, evil arose, good defeated evil (and vise versa), and the story of humanity down to each and every one of our ancestors has been a story of survival and perseverance...

...And somewhere in YOU, that fire burns as well.  It may seem as if we were born too late to be pioneers, cowboys, adventures, and freedom fighters. And it may be too early to be space pioneers and (IDK space pirates).

But do we really want our little dot of time in history to be a void of inaction, misery, consumption, and lawful obedience? Or do we want to stir the pot, make history, live the life our ancestors did.

All I'll say to sum it up is this. We will never be anything in our inaction. Our comfort zones are our greatest enemies, and the safety offered to you on a silver platter can also be the chains that bind you. Trust your gut (it is made to help you), question authority, and believe in something higher than yourself.
