I use the Younger Futhark (Scandinavian Futhark) of the scandinavian Norsemen (Vikings). It has been used between the 9th and the 11th century. These are the Runes of Old Norse. The Elder Futhark is Proto-Norse and was used before the Viking age (8th century). Most of the runestone inscriptions contain Younger Futhark Runes.
The Runes on the bottom are from the Fyrby Runestone (Sö 56) Södermanland, Sweden.
Runes: ᛁᛅᚴ᛫ᚢᛅᛁᛏ᛬ᚼᛅᛋᛏᛅᛁᚾ᛬ᚦᛅ᛬ᚼᚢᛚᛘᛋᛏᛅᛁᚾ᛬ᛒᚱᚢᚦᚱ᛫ᛘᛂᚾᚱ᛬ᚱᚢᚾᛅᛋᛏᛅ᛬ᛅ᛬ᛘᛁᚦᚴᛅᚱᚦᛁ᛬ᛋᛂᛏᚢ᛬ᛋᛏᛅᛁᚾ᛬ᛅᚢᚴ᛬ᛋᛏᛅᚠᛅ᛬ᛘᛅᚱᚵᛅᛂᚠᛐᛁᛦ᛫ᚠᚱᛅᚤᛋᛏᛅᛁᚾ᛬ᚠᛅᚦᚢᚱ᛫ᛋᛁᚾ
Old Norse: Ek veit Hástein þá Holmstein brœðr menn rýnasta á Miðgarði, settu stein ok stafa marga eptir Freystein, fôður sinn.
English: I know Hásteinn Holmsteinns brother, the most rune-skilled men in Middle Earth, placed a stone and many letters in memory of Freysteinn, their father.
