Let's go on an adventure to see the world of Pokemon Nation! In our lovely community we have quite a few things to keep our members entertained. It's always good to have others things to do, especially if you're waiting to breed some pokemon or need to find an enjoyable way to level them up. So below you will find quite a few different things that PKMNation offers!

..::: Events

Each Month, an Event will be offered for members to participate in if they so wish to. These will oftentimes have special awards for participating, such as the chance for a Rarity Pokemon! Within the monthly Main Event, there will be smaller events taking place, each with their own Objective guidelines for participating.

However, every event, no matter when it's taking place, or what the guidelines are, will have specific rules that will be adhered to.
All Pokemon participating in the event MUST have approved Reference Sheets accepted in PKMNation.
:pointr: Any submission failing to do so will be denied at the time of processing, the grace period does not apply to this rule.

All Pokemon participating in an event MUST have their reference sheets linked to in the event art or story Artist Description area.

Any work submitted for an event MUST be:
Drawn: Clean lines, and fully colored.  No sketches allowed.
Written: Must be a minimum of 200 words.
No exceptions.

All event Art and Stories MUST be submitted to the Missions folder and linked to the current Event Journal, before the deadline, to be considered.

:pointr: There is a 24hr grace period for corrections to be made in the submission queue for those that submitted both a deviation and a comment in time for the event. These changes do not include updates to the submission itself, only description information. If it has been 24hrs past the comment asking for correction, the submission will be denied a prize and any event levels are to be removed.

Gift bonus levels cannot be claimed for event submissions!

Monthly Themes and Contests

Monthly themes and Contests are monthly prompts to give to members that wish to still participate in a group event during the month without having to stress over weekly deadlines.

At the beginning of a month we will post either a theme or a contest, and members will have the entirety of the month to submit the image into Everyday Images (if Monthly Theme) or Contests (if Contest) and then post a comment with a link to the submission on the corresponding journal. Rules for the Monthly Themes will follow along the general rules of regular Events, with any exceptions that the Theme runner may include. They will gain a full 24 hour time frame to make edits or changes if needed at the end of the event. Just remember if your Pokémon isn’t in the group it won’t gain the theme’s bonuses. To read more about Contests, please visit the Contest Hall.

Theme bonuses for levels, items, etc. can be obtained for participating in the prompt! Any and all prizes will be rolled at the end of the month. Please make sure that you have everything submitted and correct before the prompt ends!

Trails

Each Month, a Trail will be designed and opened on specific days for members to explore. There is a chance to discover and catch Pokémon (maybe even one with a Special Trait or two), and even find items. To participate in a trail, you must own a Mountain Bike, which can be purchased at the Delibird Market.

When you start on the Trail, you have the option to use Honey to attract wild Pokemon to you. When you encounter a wild Pokemon, you have the option to attempt a capture or to Flee from it. If you choose to attempt a capture, you can make use of Poke Balls to increase your chances of success. Each type of Poke Ball has a different percentage of increased capture.
Honey, Poke Balls, Great Balls and Ultra Balls can be purchased at the [Delibird Market], found on the trail, or given as an Award from an event.

If you decide you do not want the Pokemon you have captured, you can opt to release it back into the wild. This MUST be done at the time of the capture (merely let the Moderator whom is handling your Trail know that you are releasing the Pokemon rather than completing the capture). If you do not choose to release at this time, you will be asked for the gender of your new Pokemon, and it will be added to your inventory.

At times, a Seasonal or Holiday Trail may become available. For these trails, you will be temporarily trading in your Mountain Bike for whatever item is needed to participate on the trail (such as a Bathing Suit or Lantern). This means that you will still need the Mountain Bike to trade for the item necessary.

All trails, normal or Seasonal, may be ventured onto once per day on the days they are open. **Trails will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays.**

Test Your Luck

On the first Wednesday of each month, every member of PKMNation will have the opportunity to press the button found in their Pkmnation.com inventory and be awarded a special prize! You will never know in advance what you might get, but it will always be something nice, to be sure!

For this event, the button MUST be pressed ON THAT DAY. If you miss it, there is no second chance.

Legendary Events

At least once a year, the Champions will roll out a special event for members to try and win a Legendary Pokemon! These events will span anywhere from a single month to a whole year, and will have very specific guidelines and rules to follow. Each Legendary Event will have its own set of rules and guidelines. For these events, there will only be ONE grand prize winner, the person who wins the Legendary in question; though there is likely to be many secondary winners of nice prizes.

Legendary Events may sometimes coincide with regular Events! Rather than replacing, they may simply overlap so as to give members more variety in what kind of events they can participate in as well as the quantity.

Prize Awards

**All prizes awarded from events will be done via RNG.** This is to ensure that the awards are given and awarded completely fairly. Unless an event has a specified in advance amount of top prizes that will be awarded, the number of top prizes will be limited to 10% of the entrants and will not increase in chance upon prolonged participation. This means that if there are 90 entries over the course of the entire monthly event, only 9 people will be awarded a top prize via RNG. Every person who participates in an event, however, will be awarded a prize. The prize will be determined by the random prize generator available to Moderators on the PKMNation website.

This was decided to make sure all prizes are always awarded fairly and without bias; and the rules for deciding the winners are the same no matter what.  Only the Legendary Events will be handled differently, and those will be determined in advance by the Champions handling the event.
