Trying for a Mistake-round 2

    [Pepper? Are you alright?] Haze asked as the quilava laid on her back, unconscious. Standing behind them was the tall stray pokemon flexing in victory. [And here I thought fire would have beaten him easily.]

    Seeing no other option, the ghost pokemon lifted up his friend and left. Looking behind him, he shouted, [We’ll be back another day!]

    The machoke/lilligant waved and replied with, [I’ll be waiting here.]

    Once they were out of sight of the powerful stray, Haze took the moment to shake his friend awake. Fluttering her eyes, Pepper woke mumbling, [Where is the stray?]

    [We left him behind,] he replied helping her on her feet, [I’m kinda surprised that he was so strong. He knocked you out in one hit!]

    [Not really,] she replied, [He was just so weird looking that I…]

    [Yes?] Haze asked confused.

    [I… I…] the fire pokemon stuttered.

    [Yeeesss?] the hanuter asked, creeping up to her face. His smug grin forming cause her to start blushing.

    [I phased out!] she cried before burying her face his into her paws.

    [I knew it!] Haze shouted as he jumped(?) in victory. [I knew there had to be something that would get you.

    [Why did it have to be a such a weird pokemon for you creep me out with?] she replied slapping him on the face.

    Rubbing the bruise, he replied, [It was the only thing I can think off to be honest. Plus he was right there! How could I pass up the chance to finally make you freak out?]

    [Well I’m going to have to face him tomorrow,] Pepper said with a sigh.

    [What?] her friend asked.

    [I hate to lose,] she replied. [And losing that easily really bugs me. But luckily for me, I shouldn’t get phased by him again. Next time, I’ll be winning that fight.]

    Ture to her word, the two friends found themselves on the same street. Before them stood the chimera. Pepper could feel nerves failing her as she watched the pokemon flex and stretch in preparation for their fight.

    [Alright Pepper, you got this,] Haze cheered her on as he rubbed her shoulders.

    [You said that last time!] she quipped. [Didn’t you forget that I phased out?]

    [Yes I know but this time you are prepared for his awkwardness and appearance,]  he replied. [There is nothing he has on you now. It’s just going to be a pure battle of strength and skill.]

    [So Pepper, is it?] the stray asked adjusting his posture, [What do you prefer more, cake or pie?]

    [Ummm………….] she stuttered, [I had this really tasty-]

    [Look out!] Haze shouted as the chimera lunged forward with a powerful kick. Pepper was sent flying across the road. Displeased, Haze shouted, [That’s unfair!]

    [In battle, everything is fair,] he replied before being tackled by a pissed fire badger.

    [Fair my fiery hide!] she screamed as she rolled off and prepared another attack.

    [Go Pepper! Burn him with fire!] the ghost cheered.

    [You stupid! I haven’t learned any fire attacks yet!] she replied. This time it was Haze who was dumbfounded.
