To Keyma Coast-LanceWhen the gang finally left the cave in was still night. They were tired and weary from their long fight. Blindly they entered their rooms at the inn.
When Catey woke she was staring into someone's eyes. She jumped back to find that her hands were bonded with rope.
"Hahaha, it's good to see people afraid of me," The man laughed. Catey took stock of what was around her. She and the rest of the gang were tied up and left sitting in the middle of town. Mavers stood all around them fending off the townspeople. Amy, Doug and the twins were already awake.
"Who are you?" Catey asked.
"Quiet rebel," said a guard as he used the butt of his rife to hit her.
"That's enough," The man said. He turned to the crowd and continued, "I'm Admiral Lance of the Maver fleet. You were letting these rebels take refuge here. Luckily, though, we were able to take them without trouble."
Catey felt the anger rise in her body. Once again the group is ambush by Mavers right after they leave a shrine.
Lance smiled at
To Keyma Coast-Zelfin"I'm Amy," she began, this time she wasn't shaking in fear but still had a tone of nervousness in her voice," I call upon Zelfin, the spirit of the sea; the carefree swimmer."
The cavern was silent beside the roar of the water fall. Amy stood on the alter waiting for a replied. Slowly a voice echoed in the gang's ears.
"Hey can't a girl get a little sleep around here. I just lost to three dorks with a problem in manners. I'm tried!"
"Umm," Amy replied to the tone in the woman's voice.
Catey whispered quietly to Doug, "Is it me or does this sprit have a slight problem with people?"
"Hey I heard that!" snapped the woman's voice. "If you got a problem with me, you can jump right in here and fight me face to face!" A faint splash could be heard from the waterfall. "You know what, if you want a fight you got it." The water began to boil around the center island. Ten streams of water shot out of the pool. They cascaded around the gang. Everyone stood in awe and fear at the power displayed be
To Keyma Coast-Rushed for timeA half day of sailing away from Brook Rock against the current the Mavers sailed onward. With three hours left in her mermaid form she sat staring at the Mavers. Then acting quickly, she dashed toward the ships. She took the sword she had and hacked at the oars. The blade sliced through the surprisingly thin oars like a hot knife through butter. She checked a couple of times to see if the Mavers noticed if they stared to slow down. When all the oars were cut she looked the ships. She realized what she forgot; the sails. Though against the current the ship were still moving south. Catey smacked the water with her hand. She took a look at the Age stone again. There was a quarter of blue left while the rest was green. She couldn't stay long or she would change back before arriving at Brook Rock. Then something happen that improved the problem at hand. Catey felt the wind blow her hair in a different way. Northward. Thanking the spirit of the wind, Kelanol, she bolted back to town.
To Keyma Coast-Brook RockRepairs to the Ruby and Broken took time, and after a week the small fleet left Stone Wood with a distention: Brook Rock. The crew of Crow's Eye and Broken were so well mannered and so sea able one couldn't tell they had been drunk the night before.
Like the last trip, Amy sent most of her free time in her cabin.
The trip lasted a week when the town was spotted. This due to the fact that a giant maze of stone islands prevents most ships from coming through like a breeze. Jake's ship took the lead with him on the bow as the ships entered the sea of rocks coming out of the sea like spring flowers in the snow. Visibility was poor due to heavy fog.
"Spill the wind from the sails and row in," he said digging out his pass. As ordered, the ships one by one rolled up their sails.
"Who there?" cried a voice in the distance.
"A ninja that lost his way," Jake replied.
Then a man dressed like a Jake appeared in front of him shaking his hand.
"Good to see you Jake, long time," The ninja said happil
To Keyma Coast-Stone WoodThe next two weeks were long. Those not tending to the ship were starting new hobbies. Catey spent most of her free time at the helm. Though she liked the feel of the sailing, she was a little frustrated with Amy for not getting a more able helmsman. Doug helped with the cannon crews when it came to target practices. With luck, he hit the crew's target which was an empty nest on a random rock in the sea. Jake, Luke and Duke helped with the daily chores. The deck was always clean. Amy was rarely seen on the deck. She spent most of her time in her cabin, taking account to the number of ship in Stone Wood that was allied to the BRC and those unwelcome by the Mavers.
When Stone Wood was in sight, Amy addressed the gang in her cabin. She wore a dress that was more expensive than the ones she wore before.
"I found two ships in Stone Wood that we can take," she said handling the rosters around, "We got the Broken which is in the ship yards for repaired and a captured Maver galley,
