The Ghost of Birthdays Past by PixelKitties The Ghost of Birthdays Past by PixelKitties
I posted a short blog post on this weird, kind of terrible, definitely cringey Tiny Toon Adventures comic/script I made back when I was 11 years old.

How I Spent My Misspent Youth
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!  I haven't checked my DA in some time and was blown away by several pages of well-wishes.  You folks are amazing and I can't thank you enough for all the kindness, generosity and support!
And since it is my birthday, I'm entitled to a little bit of pre-midlife crisis.  I spent some time this week going through my old papers from school, old art, old correspondence and reminiscing about my carefree days before mortgages, taxes, identity theft, Possessed Alexa AIs and Alex Jones.
One of the things I happened to find in my old files was a truly terrible and cringe-worthy comic I made when I was 11-ish?  I think?

Some backstory; when I was a little girl I LOVED all things Tiny Toons.  The background radiation of my entire life is exposure to that show- from my sense of humor to my love of Th

I thought I'd also upload the image to my main gallery.  There's a kind of symmetry to adding a piece of my personal history to my DA.

Long story short, I loved Fifi from Tiny Toons and Aliens and Predators when I was a little girl, so I made my own fan comic bringing it all together in one nightmarish descent into pre-teen ennui and obsession.  After my birthday last weekend I was going through a box of childhood papers and re-discovered this lost masterpiece (of crap?) and it brought back a lot of feels.  I mean, don't get me wrong, it's altogether not good.  My overuse of faux-French accent is easily enough to bring war crime charges. feels kind of wonderful seeing where I began from the vantage of where I am now.

The moral of the story is, believe in your dreams!  While Steven Spielberg never hired me as the first under-thirteen year old producer of a major television program, all these years later I do get to make art for ponies, Disney, Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Marvel, Star Wars and, yes, even Aliens vs Predator.

Also, THANK YOU EVERYONE for your incredibly kind and heartfelt birthday wishes!

I absolutely adore Tiny Toons, was my favorite thing to watch after school. And yes, time makes you appreciate the small things in life just a little more as it goes on =)

We’re tiny, we’re toony
We’re all a little looney...

That’s quite a coincidence, because I just started rewatching that show on Hulu.

Well, well.  The Sunlit Uplands really exist.  I know, because you're there.  Three cheers!

Amazed to find it could reply
Hell raised a hoarse, half-human cry.
