Here's another attempt at updating the incomparable Dan Haskett's original Fifi concepts in a more animated style.  Since this was a VERY early version of the character, I kept my version a bit looser as well.  I liked her flowing hair and posture, but I changed up the tail a bit.

As I mentioned yesterday, I've been feeling under the weather this week, so I didn't get to add a proper BG or expand on the image as much as I have with previous Haskett homages.  Hopefully you can forgive a bit of laziness on my part as I recover from whatever scunge has a stranglehold on my immune system!

ALSO it's my husband's birthday weekend AND our 14 year wedding anniversary, so I'm sick as well as completely distracted!  I'm frankly surprised I finished this piece.  Go team me!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ahead!  Please note that my Fifi Friday art contest ends next week, so please check out this journal and get your submissions in ASAP!

Bonjour mes petits déviants!
Since March I've been posting quite a bit of Tiny Toon Adventures art both here and over on my Twitter account.  I've tried to include a little bit of every character, but I've specifically focused on my favorite toon, Fifi!
In order to avoid being a completely annoying fangirl, I started the hashtag #FifiFriday and confined the majority of my skunk posting to Fridays.  I try and have a new Fifi image ready for DA as well as sharing it on my Twitter along with items from my Tiny Toons production art and merchandise collection.
For the longest time, the only folks using the hashtag have been myself and someone with an adorable puppy named Fifi who, while undeniably cute, is unfortunately not a purple skun

Isn't it astounding how far an idea can grow?  Fifi looks so lovely in her original design, and she's just as alluring in her present day image.  She's come a long way and is still popular to this day.

She's a cartoon character I'm very fond of.  In fact, she's one of my favorites ever.

Lovely job on this drawing.  I like how Fifi's hair drapes in her ponytail and bow.  And her face....  OH, have you ever seen such a wonderful, furry face?

Lovely, I have to admit I love FiFi, she kind grows on you, lol. When Tiny Toons first came out I liked Babs.

Ugh, hope you feel better Pixel. And the early sketch actually reminds me of Chuck Jones' style in a way

Fifi First concept looks good, but the colors I think are what make her special, it's too normal Skunk be black & white, she looks full of life with purple,I hope you still do some fan art of her, even with the end of Fifi Friday.

Pretty interesting to compare the Haskett version and yours.  The two are pretty similar, but yours remains very close to the version in the TV series.  You really drew her well :)
Happy wedding anniversary :D

Heh, has that late 80s/early 90s manga feel. Perhaps this Dan guy was ahead of his time.
