I’ve beem 10000% enamored with A Hat in Time from the second that I bought it man like
The music & characters & settings just all brEATHE the kind of aesthetics I’m into, plus also make me super nostalgic for other games. (Especially all the frickin paper mario references this game keeps under its sleeves)
Wanted to try reALLY playing with 3d layers for this. The camera moves a bit faster than I wanted but any sorta tweaks to make it slower while keeping the speed of what I made jus kinda screwed other parts up. ‘Least I know for the future hhAHA
Now with more speedpaint
This is incredible on so many levels. The game is awesome on so many levels...
I wish it got the recognition it deserved....
And even though it got overshadowed by some pr e t ty big smash hits near its release, hasn't stopped me from seeing all kinds of love n' cool stuff coming the game's way! :,> It's more than well recognized I feel like & has just the right sized sorta community to not be completely overwhelming from the outside
i love how smooth the animation is, i could look at this for hours
And thanks so much! ;;v;;
But yes, I've been maaajorly interested! It just looks like so much fun! And it just seems like such a powerful tool! I've really only been using Flash Professional (which is ironic because I'm super inexperienced) xD
And only for simple, small animations. I have to look into online courses! Eeeee!
And I'm curious if you're talking about at all? Cause they're an artist I found out about recently who I've definitely drawn influence from as far as effects and types of movements that he gets with his moving illustrations :,>
I am not, actually that artist is new to my eyes. They've gained a new watcher!
Wow, After Effects is really appealing after seeing so many artists work with it. I better get started with those courses! It looks REALLY confusing!! xD
Wow, that artist has gorgeous work! I wonder how much time he spends on each piece. They're done so beautifully and crisp. That's really neat!
Actually, the artist I was referring to was .
He's really good at what he does.
Here's one of his projects from many years ago that I absolutely loved: www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7hmMO…
He's since improved! When he told me about AE, I was fascinated! But then I went inactive and had a hard time finding time to learn it anyway. It looks like it takes a long time to learn, though. Like, crazy complex!
And as far as learning it, the 'main' spot you gotta learn to get started is just how the timeline & keyframing works, since everything is built on top of that. And though I've been using it a few years now, I started to get the hang with it after just a few brief days the program was introduced to me at college! xP
It looks so real and beautiful WOW~ Incredibly well done~
By the way, I have seen things about a Hat in time but what is it about?
Also there isn't much for an "overall" plot, but it is VERY paper mario feeling with really enjoyable self contained stories across each of the worlds you visit, with all sorts of colorful n' crazy characters to bump into and complete challenges for. Think of that mushed with Super Mario Sunshine/64 for the gameplay style and that's more or less what this is with a lot of charm stacked on top
