What programs do you use?
I use Photoshop CS6 for any kind of illustrated work, and AfterEffects CS5 usually for animating it!
Can I use your art for an avatar or a signature?
You can if it’s fan art, as long as you give proper credit, and it wasn’t taken from a piece of gift art, a sketch, or commission art! But please do not use anything of my fan characters or original content, and please don't make edits or changes to the work apart from cropping it.
Can I use your art for RP icons/an RP blog?
Again, only if it's fanart that is simply cropped, and only with proper credit. Though asking ahead of time would be appreciated.
Can I use your art as a background for a picture I’m making?
Can I draw fanart of your characters?
Sure! As long as it’s not romantic/shippy, feteshized, or NSFW. For all intents and purposes my personal characters are ace/aro unless otherwise stated. (Also please don't draw your characters interacting with mine unless you get permission from me first!)
Can I write a fanfic of your characters?
I’d have to say no unless your a mutual/close friend. A lot of my characters are extremely personal so I’d feel weird to see them ever written out of character ;v;
Can I pitch an idea for your characters?
Go ahead! If it piques my interest I might wind up making it a canon or AU thing!
Can we do a collab/art trade?
If we’re mutuals then go ahead and toss the idea my way! Otherwise it’d have to be no. :,P
Can you draw more ____?
Likely no if it’s something I haven’t drawn for a while. Unless I’m very obviously in a “phase” of drawing stuff for that series, you’ll need to request a commission.
How do you do ___ thing?
If you have anYTHING you want me to explain of my process feel free to ask! I love sharing what I know in whatever way that it can help :,D
I have a handful of art tutorials I’ve done already in the past as well:
Paper Mario Artstyle
Coloring with Prismacolor Markers
My process for choosing colors
How to draw a sad beanbag and his space child (Kito & Goro)
Who are these 'spacebeans' you draw so often?
Kito and Goro are some of the oldest characters I have, and the two of them combined are personified parts of my own personality. :,D Goro was actually based on an imaginary friend I had as a kid, while Kito for many years was a literal persona before I developed more of her character.
The first and foremost reason I draw them is to have that one corner of my art which is totally for myself. There's been a lot of tough spots in my life that just being able to draw or imagine these two has done a lot to keep my head on straight.
No matter how far I've developed them, they're always going to stay a personal project. I'd love to make a small freeware game with them sometime, or maybe even a little art zine, but either would be completely made on my own time. With the amount of commissions, collaborative projects, freelance jobs, and whatever else life throws at me, I think that I (along with ANYONE out there in a creative field) deserves a space to be a little self indulgent for themselves. :,>
If you wanna learn more about them here's a few handy dandy links!
