Listening to: My Hero by Man With A Mission
I have spent WAY too long delaying this announcement, hoping I would be able to avoid it and eventually figure this out. But alas, the time has come to announce that Project Showtime is officially cancelled. I just couldn't do it. It was too ambitious, with 20+ main characters all being juggled for spotlight, a story where the initial draw was the tournament but then i realized that wouldn't be an exciting fanfic, having to make a LOT of art... It just wasn't possible for me. I have no idea what I can do to make it up to you guys (what few that still look at my stuff anyway), to be honest. I will at least explain where the story would have gone, going off of what few notes I was able to find and what I'm able to remember.
The tournament would have continued, with North and West teams going to the finals. The final round would have been Osiris vs Hex. Osiris would have used that strange Green Magic stone to acquire a new form that ultimately forced him into despair, letting the Anubis phantom free. The Tournament would have been cancelled on the spot, and the headmasters would be revealed to be in possession of 4 special rings (known as Create, Destroy, Order, and Chaos), which they would use to take down Anubis, but not before authorities were able to determine that the rings had been made from the Philosopher's stone. The 4 headmasters would then reveal that they were disbanding the schools and declaring war on the entire world. Using the 4 rings, the headmasters formed armies that helped them in their conquest, effectively controlling the entire country within a span of a couple months. Around this time the goals of Varg and Howl would be revealed, being that they were attempting to stop the plans of the headmasters, who, after conquering the country, declared war on each other to further their own, individual goals.
The students who took part in the tournament would form a resistance, with several students being revealed as traitors. Eventually, students would start falling in battle, Syoku being one of the first. Syoku would later be revived by the sacrifice of his Phantom, acquiring a form known as Twilight Style, tying into his whole sun and moon theme. Eventually, each headmaster would start sending in their 4 most elite mages, who would be taken down slowly, before the final headmaster would remain. The headmaster of North Academy would reveal he had obtained the other 3 Philosopher Stone rings, and had combined them into 2 rings known simply as "The Origin" and "The End", allowing him to recreate and destroy the world as many times as he wished until he reached his "perfect" world. It would be shown he was tired of the current world, and wished for it all to return to zero to start again.
Eventually, through the power of the remaining 6 or 7 mages, the north headmaster would have been beaten. The world around them effectively destroyed, the 6 or 7 mages would use the power of the 2 rings, now merged into one known as "Showtime", to recreate the world one last time, effectively making sure that none of the war ever happened. The last scene (which had a brief outline written) would have shown a new world, not unlike the one shown in Wizard's own TV show, where each student was still a Mage, but they would have never known each other, though the 6 or 7 who survived til the end who still be able to recall glimpses of the old world, as demonstrated by a wandering stage magician Syoku recognizing Khalid in the audience of one of his shows.
and that's where my notes ended. I had all of this planned, but no real idea how to execute it at all. So, I apologize once again.
