Description
This was a late Christmas present for Mom, but it's not my fault it wasn't done on time! It had to go in the kiln over Winter Break and I didn't even get a chance to wrap it.
Mr. Powers and I threw this pot sometime back in the beginning of December, and I have to say wet clay spinning around in circles has got to be one of the strangest things I have felt to date. It wasn't exactly bad, but I'm a clean freak anyhow so every two seconds I felt like standing up and washing my hands.
The texture it has wasn't on purpose, actually, I think it comes from when I went to glaze the inside with clear and I got water all over the pot when I poured it out. Oops. Not sure if that's what caused it, but at least the whole pot got the bubbly look instead of one area!
Oh, the glaze I used was Peacock and it's about four inches tall. Around three pounds. Ceramic.

Sometimes very good results come from something unintended.
It's very wabi-sabi.
