I've been cross-stitching for fourteen years now, since I was eight! While not the most experienced by any means, the majority of what I know is self-taught. With this in mind knots have been one of the most awful circumstances for me to run into. My very first piece was a simple purple flower; the purple thread knotted at the back and I freaked out and threw the whole thing away! Mom retrieved it and continued to nurture me into the patient and loving person I am today.
