Beaded Leaf Pin - Autumn

This is a custom color scheme of a pattern found in the book "The Beaded Garden" by Diane Fitzgerald. It wasn't my favorite to do because of the peyote stitch but I still had fun doing it. The original pattern only includes two colors: the stem/veins/outlines and the center of the leaves. My cousin wanted red, brown, and gold, so I mixed things around until I got this. By the time I was finished sewing all the sections together the leaves had rounded themselves into a much more natural leaf shape.

Uses size 11 glass seed beads in silver-lined red, gold, and two shades of brown. Threaded together with red Japanese One G nylon. Sewn and secured onto a 1.5 inch silver-colored pin. Peyote for the leaves, herringbone for the stem.
