japanese fan cake

1st of 2 cakes by request this weekend. this one is marble cake with chocolate fudge pudding filling, covered in buttercream. i cut the fan using 10 and 4 inch circle pans as guides from a fondant/gumpaste mix, let it dry out overnight, then painted the cherry blossom design with tinted vanilla. i tinted the same mix for the "sticks" and just cut straight 1/4 inch pieces of the same length and stacked them. i let them dry into form overnight as well.
