One Day....

I hope there will come a bright new day
When I will be able to lick the colouring
Off a glossy green skittle with an old school friend
And to stuff my face with a million more.
And simply laugh

Perhaps one day there will be a time
When I will feel truly comfortable
Wearing my very own skin
And to look in the mirror just to see
The truth: the real me

Maybe someday I will finally have the strength
To bravely tread the path to my dream goals
And to have the courage
To challenge myself
And live the life I was scared of living

One day I will be able to enjoy the present,
And to cherish my joyful memories
Whilst living to create many more;
A time where my perspective of the world
Has been turned upside-down

I dream of the day I will be able to shatter my self-imposed cage,
The day that I will be able to escape my own imprisonment
And to re-establish a special connection to all those around me;
I hope to be able to spread my wings, and grow
And to soar, gracefully, into the unknown.

We all wear a mask No matter how we shape or mold it It stays the same way even with a slight change For the mask is a part of us Just as we are part of the mask When we hide a hidden side Deep within our hearts It becomes a shadow Something we try to deny Something to forget But it always comes back to haunt us Trying to engulf us in its darkness To show others what their really like As they keep denying it gets stronger Shifting and molding into something terrifying The shadow becomes a beast A monster of our dark side Because we've denied it For thinking it isn't a part of us But it is a part of us Like we are a part of

The Thinker
The Thinker She was the quintessential thinker and a lover of fine art But the day she let her imagination free    they carried off her heart She let her thoughts be known to men who took just what they could and left her standing all alone    ashamed and misunderstood. The internal trial of mental prowess dissolved her will to live and washed up on a deserted shore    she had nothing left to give.

Destroy This Poem To the person grading this poem To the kind, patient woman hovering over this with a pen Waiting to say kind, patient words in response, do me a favor: Stop it. Don’t Patronize me. I did not slave over this with hammer and anvil Shaping it into a masterpiece. I didn’t paint it onto the ceiling of some church, Going blind from the pain and the stress. I didn’t even turn this in on time. And while I’m writing this in my fifth-period economy class, You can bet I’m not concerned with iambs and troches and Italian terza rima. No, I’m concerned with how much water is left in my water bott

Wow... this is beautiful. And makes me feel hopeful... also it humbles me a bit, as in, it makes me realize I'm not the only one with certain problems. And...yeah. Very nice job c:
