FINAL PANEL ADDED!
I also tweaked the coloring on the background of the previous panel when I notice the inconsistency.

Twelfth panel added and at last the first appearance of JetSilphymon! Unfortunately, editing Shutumon/Zephyrmon to JetSilphymon was a bit harder than I hoped thanks to art of JetSilphymon being sooooooooo limited. I'm not 100% happy with how it came out, so I may still play with this one but for now, I did what I could with what I had to work with. The final panel is next!

Tenth panel added and the last of the "armor-up" sequence. I have to say, though.... I'm a little disappointed in the animators for making Izumi's a "booty-shot" whereas looking at with the boys the focus is on the legs/boots....
either way, JetSilphymon will be revealed soon and we're on the home-stretch!

Ninth panel added. Still not entirely happy with the background even thought I did try something a little different... I also had to do a bit of ad-libbing for the gauntlets since they were so hard to make out in the frame.

Eighth panel added, and just like the previous one, I'm not entirely happy with how the background came out. It has been proving difficult to get the lines/rings of "Digi-Code" to line up JUST right at some of these unusual angles with the brushes I have (as great as they are) so I guess I"m just going to have to do what I can with what I have. Other than that.... I think the Beast Spirit sequences might be SLIGHTLY sped up in relation to the Human ones? Either that, and/or I think there might have been some weird error with Izumi's specifically? I can't tell if it's because of speed the opacity on the Armor doesn't fully come through, or i it's a contrast problem because of the colors they used or just because it accidently got left out entirely and they never caught it in QC, but either way, it is just REALLY difficult to see the actual ARMOR during her Beat Evolution sequence and so again, doing what I can with what I Have there.

Sixth panel added. This one (as well as the next two or three that are coming) was more or less directly traced/recreated with special effects since her body is just a silhouette at this point. I may still play with the effects a bit more....

Fifth panel added. This one was kind of interesting because I did the individual elements (the two Spirits and Izumi) separately and much larger for the sake of detail and them scaled them down to the appropriate size for the frame, but it was worth the bit of extra effort. I might still try to tweak the Beast Spirit just a little bit since that took the most customizing.

Added the fourth panel and added background to the second and third panels as well as the Digicode rings for the third panel, thanks to the custom brushes courtesy of NelaNequin
Update 11/06 Added the third panel and finished the first panel. I also managed to track down a set of Photoshop brushes especially made for Spirit Evolution effects/textures so I'll be playing with that over this next week to help with the backgrounds and to add the rings of Digi-code around her hand.
No sketch here, this one is 100% digital manipulation/traced for the sake of looking as official as possible as well as achieving specific look I had in mind and for making it easier to edit/play with the features.
I've had a Digimon Frontier continuation project tucked in my back pocket for... a very long time now and when I thought about the success I had with storyboarding a Matrix Evolution for Juri I thought this might be a fun way to keep it alive (also since I don't think the ideas I had for doing Matrix Evolutions for Shaochung/Suie and Ryo will work out...)
as for the Work-in-Progress... well, the first frame still needs the outline off the Human Spirit of Wind to layer in, but I wasn't able to shortcut the way I had hoped I would, so... I'm going to have to trace it all in from scratch. I... might still pay with Izumi's uniform a bit too, but for the most part I am pretty happy with how these first two frames/panels have shaped up.
Digimon Frontier and all of its creatures/characters, including Izumi, are (c) Naoyuki Itou, Toei Animation, and any other respective owners I may not know/have listed or be aware of. I do not own the character in any way, shape or form, I am just a fan!
