The Final Four

No sketch here, this one is 100% digital manipulation/traced for the sake of looking as official as possible as well as achieving specific look I had in mind and for making it easier to edit/play with the features.

Anyone remember those really fun battle splash screens they had in the X/Y series? I decided to have a little fun and recreate one of the Performance ones (with a Contest flair) featuring my Fan-character Kira to reflect her taking part in her first Contest in the Role Play I'm doing with Azarathian-Mage. Kira's outfit here is base on a combination of Cure Peach and Cure Pine.

Those of you with sharp eyes may also recognize Venus from Pokemon Colosseum  (or, I guess technically something of an AU version of her) albeit with a somewhat tailored outfit and hairstyle due to a lack of official (2d) art existing. I've made her into something of a rival for Kira since.... I really didn't like her. >_< I also decide to give her a Jynx for a signature Pokémon due to a specific (albeit potentially petty) grudge.

The other featured character with the Combee is Aurora, a waitress from a Battle Caffe that Kira befriended. I was originally intending to base her appearance on the Waitress NPC trainers from Gens 4 and 5, but since there doesn't seem to be any kind of official artwork for them (other than tiny sprites) I had to get creative with my bases for the image. The only character I could think of with as close of the same hairstyle as I could think of was Creamy Mami and so when I thought of that I ended up just running with the idea and made her whole contest outfit based on Creamy Mami.

As for the background, I was actually thinking I'd have to go with something much more tentative, but I'm actually pretty happy with the results. The base is just a freebie found on Google that I split in four and hue changed to reflect each character and then added a Ribbon emblem rather than the heart design seen in the anime.
