Character Marinette Dupain-Cheng (Miraculous)

I've had this one under my hat for a while since I actually made a point of watching the Netflix movie shortly after it was released in the US. Overall, I enjoyed it and the higher-budget art but it was juts a shame that literally everyone except for the core four characters was pushed to the side. (poor Nino and Alya were given MAYBE 5 minutes of screentime COMBINED and everyone else in the class was virtually nameless) I also kind of question the necessity of rebooting the original story while the show is still actively running, unless this was meant to be one of those "alternate universes" they mentioned in the last special. Either way, at least it was more enjoyable than "I Choose You" when it came to Pokemon....
ANYWAY, I had actually caught wind of this outfit even before the Movie's release because they released (what I believe is meant to be) a collectors edition doll of it. At first, it was only available through the official Miraculous shop/site but I happened across it again on Amazon a while back (I think still being sold by proxy the official site since I think they operate through Amazon?) and added it to my Wish List where I forgot about it after I discovered they were making a doll for Purple Tigress.... imagine my surprise when I found it under the tree on Christmas, so I couldn't resist drawing it. Apparently, mom has been able to see my list this whole time even though we have separate accounts, so I got a few surprises that evening
As for the sketch, the sleeves had to be traced in because they kind of disappeared into the dress (that what happens when you draw opacity on top of opacity I guess....) but other than that I didn't have to make any other major changes or fixes though I did touch up the symmetry on the top layer of the gown and used a previous drawing to help clean up the face for the sake of consistency.
Miraculous: tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir and all of its characters, including Marinette, are (c) Thomas Astruc, Zagtoon, Toei Animation, and any and all other respective owners may have missed/not be aware of. I do not own the character in any way, shape or form, I am just a fan!
