The first part in a larger tribute compilation piece for voice actor Johnny Yong Bosch that I intend to have signed at Anime Detour in April. It really is a shame the whole Doraemon franchise didn't really take off here in the west, but I suppose he has been a staple in Japan for much, much longer. It was, however, a pleasant surprise to find that they actually bothered to dub the two CG "Stand by Me Doraemon" movies after seemingly giving up on the show. They were so sweet. 

As for the sketch, again, no real tiny/intricate details to worry about, so this one cleaned up rather quickly. Because of that, I did also take the liberty to try to add just a bit more detail to the clothes and hair to kind of make the style a bit more "mine". (You'll also notice I attempted to imply a zipper area on the pants, but I just couldn't get it to.... not look..... awkward with the sitting position, so I gave up on it)

Doraemon and all related characters, including Nobita, belong to Fujiko F. Fujio and any/alll other respective owners.
