''Could she be a Mermaid?''

I'm kicking off MerMay with another piece I've had under my hats for YEARS but have just never had an excuse to try drawing (well, okay, dinging up a reference was part of it too since it would means have to go aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way back to the Aarlong Park arc to figure out the exact chapter/episode.) Sure, there's Shirahoshi, but I've already drawn her, and I considered Cami, but then I remembered Sanji's fantasizing the possibility that Nami's involvement with the Fish Men meant she might be a mermaid. I also just realized.... I started my Valentines theme back in February with Sanji and Nami, too.

As for the sketch, no major changes or fixes were needed, but I did add a scale pattern I made myself from a previous work. (I should probably just make myself a brush out of it...) You also notice.... I ran out of time before I could add the stripes to Sanji's shirt, but I'll add then when it comes time for proper color.
