Anne of Green Gables

This is another one I've had tucked in my hat ever since the new series premiered back in April, but other things got in the way. (my mermaid theme in May and working on my Chibi Moon wig all through June and July)

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm no as much of a reader as I'd like to be (I blame school for turning it into a chore; none of the books we covered as required reading held any interest for me and when we did reports/projects where we could choose a book the reading always had to be done on our own time after school on top of the homework we already had, then when I finally discovered manga in Junior High it "didn't count" because they couldn't tell the difference between a graphic novel with a larger overarching story and a Sunday gag-strip) but I DID read Anne of Green Gables on my own in Junior High, so I was really excited when I first heard about it. I'm just sad I never knew about the older version, but it adaptation is still very sweet.

As for the sketch, I managed to get away without any major changes or fixes again, but I did use a previous work to help clean up Anne's braids and the little daisies on her hat are just a basic clipart since they were so small. I'm also going to try to find a weave brush/pattern of some kind for the basket when it comes time to color.
