A Coward and a Crybaby

... but Shirahoshi is still pretty, so I really wanted to draw her. Truth be  told, I was also considering her for that Mermaid Tutorial thing last month (that I still never got the silly badge for, even though I submitted with the proper tag...) but Mermaid Melody won out in the end and Shirahoshi was put aside for a while.

As for the sketch, I thankfully didn't have to make any major changes or fixes, though cleaning up all that hair and the veil/boa thing extending from her top was  a nightmare. The ribs on her fin were traced in  because I wasn't happy with my attempt, however, along with the stripes on her tail.... partially for the same reason. The scales on her tail was a simple freebie scale pattern found on Google. I also ran out of time before I could add in some pearls to her top, but that'll come when it's time for proper color.
