Hey all! I hope everyone who keeps up with me and my posts is doing well!
So recently I've gotten a few flags in regards to my work and wether it should be under the mature content feature. I assume this is staff imposing there personal feelings about my art again, although I suppose I'm "grateful" that they didn't just outright remove them this time around. However having read through the parameters and rules I can say that my work technically doesn't violate any of the rules in any significant way. The only issue I can see is that my work is largely viewed as sexual or has "sexual themes" by many people, however that's not how I personally view a large amount of my work. I know that my opinions and feelings as the artist are not important or significant to this website or the frankly biased staff that police this site, but personally I don't see the need to flag my work if there's no direct reference to sex or "bodily fluids" (although this is rather ambiguous as well, as far as I'm concerned). When I do have wet or messy diapers I always try and tag it as Mature under the category of "sexual themes" although like I've said, I don't feel that category is appropriate for the majority of my work. I only choose that one because I have no other options. Often my work is still taken down even with these parameters set in place so, navigating the whims of the staff can be difficult to say the least. That being said I have no issue with putting all of my work under the mature content tag. I'll be the first to admit that I don't feel my work should really be viewed by people under the age of 18. However there are far worse/more "damaging" pictures on this site, in my opinion than anything that I post here. All of my most recent posts have been flagged in this way, and I assume it's going to continue as I post from here on out.
So my question to all of you is, should I just put all of my work under the "sexual themes" content restrictions or do you feel I should take the issue up with staff. I'm certain they'll ignore me and just take the work down as they feel like it anyway, but it might be worth it to contest those decisions? I'm not sure how to deal with it. I can't say I've had a good experience with the policies that govern this site or the people who enforce them. It's only my amazing fans and supporters that keep me coming back here and contributing to the viewer traffic on this site. So what do you all think? Is it a big deal? or a non-issue?
Anyhoo... In other news I've gotten my old computer fixed and I'm able to work and post again! I'm very happy about this, and the out-pouring of love and support coming from all of you uplift my spirit and really, make all this worth it. I have some plans for future projects but I wont go into details until they are more solidified.
Commissioners, now that I'm back and working again, if I do owe you work, even if it's from a long time ago, feel free to send me a friendly reminder and I'll be sure to get the work that you've paid for to you. I'm so sorry for the long delay and I fully intend to make it up to you fi I can.
As Always, thank you all so much for your love and concern and support of the art I create. I hope that, if the day should come where I leave DA that I can still keep in touch with all of you and continue to make the work that you all seem to enjoy!
