Welcome to the shiny new PinholePhotographers group!
The group is intended to provide a home for the pinhole photographers of deviantArt. I know you are out there. I intend to prowl around and invite folks. All recent contributors to Pinhole-Camera have been sent invitations.
The group is a bit rough around the edges yet as I figure out how to manage a group in the new format. Admin functions are hidden in different places now.
What is a pinhole camera?
A pinhole camera has no lens, just a tiny hole in front. It is the ultimate basic camera.
Wikipedia has a helpful overview. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinhole_camera/
Group folders:
Featured - Please leave this for administrator use only.
Film - Photographs created with analog cameras, both commercial builds and do-it-yourself builds.
Digital - Photographs created with digital cameras modified for pinhole photography.
Tools and Toys - Photographs of the pinhole cameras you use.
Submission policy:
Group members may post up to ten images each week. I don't know about you, but I know I pay more attention to an individual's or group's posts when they don't inundate me. Show us your best work.
Member submissions must be approved by an administrator. This is likely to change as time goes on.
Please include such camera and film information as you know. We're a curious bunch of addicts. (That sentence could be taken in various ways, most of them true.)
Watermarks are fine so long as they do not deface the image. Images with the default dA watermark will be removed.
Mature content is permitted.
Background:
I have been nursing along the Pinhole-Camera group for several years without full administrative rights. It was time to move on.
Pinhole-Camera is hereby declared defunct as of the end of 2023.
I will be migrating the 2024 submissions over to PinholePhotographers.

Will it be possible to just watch this group or has dA removed that option? I see only a "Join" button ... ;)
I found the watch-button ![]()
That I do not know. The mysteries of dA are many.
You can certainly join and lurk. ![]()
OK, now I'm lurking. :D
